“The Myriad Races fought with all their strength, yet your Buddhist Sect resorted to underhanded tricks behind the scenes…” a light chuckle echoed through the starry void, carrying an inexplicable sense of ease and laziness.

However, that seemingly casual voice when it fell into the ears of the Sacred Son of Buddha felt like a clap of thunder, causing his expression to change again and again.

“Demon… Emperor…” His face gradually calmed as he addressed the figure before him. But this time, his voice had noticeably changed.

It sounded as though he were suppressing something within himself.

He had been just one step away.

He was forty percent confident that if he had just a little more time, he could have converted the Heaven-Connecting Divine Tree.

    However, now, everything was ruined.

And a chance like that… was unlikely to come by again.

After all, the Myriad Races were now wary of him and would never give him another opportunity.

With that realization, even this Sacred Son of Buddha, trained in mastering the heart, showed signs of imbalance. His eyes began to ignite with fury.

“So, this is the kind of ‘mind cultivation’ your Buddhist Sect prides itself on?” There was a note of disdain in Yu Zi Yu’s voice, as he openly mocked the Sacred Son.

“Uh…” Gyani froze for a moment. As if awakening to something, his face changed dramatically.

Then, under Yu Zi Yu’s surprised gaze, he brought his hands together in a gesture of prayer and stated, “I have become attached…”

With a long sigh, the Sacred Son of Buddha added, “Some things cannot be forced. What is done… is done. So be it. So be it.”

The string of sighs caused Yu Zi Yu’s eyes to narrow slightly.

[So this is the Buddhist Sect… he has really cultivated the heart to a great degree.]

An ordinary person would’ve flown into a rage by now, desperate to strike back, yet the Sacred Son of Buddha, after only a brief moment of reflection, had regained his calm.

[No wonder the Buddhist Sect has endured through the ages… They truly are formidable.] Yu Zi Yu faintly chuckled to himself, but didn’t dwell too much into it.

Instead, he casually flicked his finger, and the very next moment, under the disbelieving gazes of countless powerhouses, the crimson star spinning in the starry sky, burning like an eternal star, slowly flew back toward him.

Even more astonishing, the sphere shrank mid-flight, becoming no larger than a marble in the blink of an eye, rejoining with the other eight in Yu Zi Yu’s palm, quietly spinning.

This was the Grand Divine Ability: the Nine Realms of Heaven.

When used offensively, it took on this form, turning into a shooting star with a single flick.

With a single strike, an entire Small World was hurled down, its power and momentum dozens of times more terrifying than that of a meteor.

Of course, this was only possible because Yu Zi Yu’s physical body had reached the Seventh Order, which had pushed his strength to a horrific level.

Only with such a foundation could he wield the Nine Realm of Heaven like this, smash down a Small World like a weapon.

For anyone else, even lifting such a world would be a tremendous effort.

As for its power, Yu Zi Yu could tell just by the twitching corners of the eyes of the many powerful beings around him. This little trick had given them quite the fright.

What looked like a casual flick of the wrist had forced the Sacred Son of Buddha to retreat in helter-skelter, that too when he was wielding an Imperial Artifact.

Who knew what would happen to someone actually struck by it?

One thing was certain, no one was willing to find out.

“That seems to be a Divine Ability…” murmured the nearby Seer to himself, his gaze fixed on the nine stars spinning in Yu Zi Yu’s palm.

As the Grand Elder of the Heavenly Oracle Clan, his insight surpassed that of ordinary cultivators.

And so, he could faintly discern just how terrifying those nine stars truly were.

Each one was like an entire Small World.

A strike of such a star was akin to a whole world crashing down.

And what was the difference between the two?

A star was merely an embodiment of force. But a Small World embodied Dao, the profoundest principles of existence.

Take, for instance, the Realm of Fire Yu Zi Yu had just hurled: Its searing heat twisted space itself. Its temperature rivaled that of legendary Divine Flames. Even if one could withstand the impact of a Small World, they would still have to endure the searing flames—so scorching they bordered on the absolute limit of heat—as they burned ceaselessly.

    Scorching stars… boiling seas…

These were not just empty words.

This was the true terror of a Small World descending.

The more powerful the Small World, the more devastating its impact.

Now, within Yu Zi Yu’s palm, nine star-like Small Worlds revolved silently. Even the weakest among them could erase a Late-Stage Tier-6, or even a Half-Step Sovereign, from the face of this universe.

And that Realm of Fire from earlier? Its power was so dreadful that even the Sacred Son of Buddha wielding an Imperial Artifact dared not meet it head-on.

    “So this… is the Demon Emperor’s strength…”

“It’s utterly unfathomable. With just a flick of his finger, he forced back a fully awakened Imperial Artifact…”

“And not just any Imperial Artifact, it was the Grand Thunderclap Monastery itself, famed for its unparalleled defense!”

One voice after another echoed across the starry sky, as all eyes turned toward Yu Zi Yu.

There was no denying it. What he had just done was far too terrifying.

So much so, the entire starry sky had fallen silent.

Even the Dream Dragon and the Seven-Colored Divine Phoenix were frozen in place, their gazes locked onto Yu Zi Yu with awe and fear.

And then, as if sensing the weight of countless stares, Yu Zi Yu slowly rose from his throne.

*Thump…* As he took a step forward, ripples spread from beneath his foot.

Those ripples expanded at an unimaginable speed, as if his very footsteps pressed down on the hearts of all present, causing their heartbeat to pause for a fraction of a second.

His aura rose at a horrendous speed.

The pressure he exuded resembled that of a predator at the apex of the food chain, bearing down on the rest of the cosmos.

Below the Seventh Order, all the Myriad Races were but inferior lifeforms.

Only the fabled Half-Step Hegemon or those who had truly stepped into the Realm of Hegemony could stand on the same level of Hierarchy of Life as him.

Now, carrying on that overwhelming pressure, Yu Zi Yu took another step forward.

*Thump…* Another thunderous boom sent tremors across the starry sky. His terrifying aura rose to its peak, and he now directed it straight toward the Heaven-Connecting Divine Tree.

“I and you, we are both Trees who’ve gained enlightenment… Let me send you on your way. Does that sound fair?” His calm and grim voice echoed through the stars, sending biting-chill down the spine of every listener.

“Fine…” A bold laugh answered him.

The Heaven-Connecting Divine Tree had chosen to respond, her billions of branches already springing into action.

Her massive trunk began to twist and writhe…

    *Boooom…Boooom…Boooom…*

As her power surged once more, the Divine Tree cast aside the Myriad Races and focused solely on Yu Zi Yu.

And in that, one could truly see how terrifying Yu Zi Yu had become.

The threat he posed alone far surpassed the threat posed by the combined forces of all the other races.

    “Then… have… a… good… trip…”

With each word, the center of Yu Zi Yu’s brow split further, as the Crimson Heavenly Eye slowly opened.

*Booooooom…* Suddenly, a deafening clap reverberated, and the entire starry sky froze.

And then, those nine star-like Small Worlds hovering in Yu Zi Yu’s palm slowly drifted toward his opened Crimson Heavenly Eye.

    They entered its blood-red depths…

And there, they began to rotate.

    Faster. And faster.

Until… Blood-colored brilliance flooded the cosmos.
