“Disperse.” With a soft shout, Yu Zi Yu gently dissolved the Spacetime Barrier that had concealed him.
And as it faded away, what greeted his eyes was a boundless Void, vast and infinite.
As far as his gaze could stretch, there was no end. Only streams of violet Void Energy drifted like ethereal clouds, silently flowing through the abyss.
But at that very moment, as his perception spread outward, Yu Zi Yu sensed it. Several powerful auras stirring far in the distance.
And these auras… were not unfamiliar to him.
They were the very same beings from the Myriad Races who had rushed into the Void before his Tribulation, intending to disrupt his breakthrough.
Unfortunately for them, the Void was a place of strange laws and constant danger. Too many powerful entities lurked here, and even before they could approach Yu Zi Yu, they had been intercepted.
Now…
After more than ten days of battle, those beings had fallen into a dire deadlock.
Lifting his gaze, Yu Zi Yu finally saw them: one powerful cultivator after another trapped amid the vast, unending tide of Void Creatures.
Endless Void Creatures swarmed them, layer upon layer, enclosing them in a living net of claws and fangs.
If not for the fact that these invaders were Peak Tier-6s. They were beings of such strength that only the Void Emperors could match them. They would’ve long since been torn to shreds by the sheer numbers of Void Creatures.
…
Even so, they were far from unscathed.
The creatures born inside the Void were too terrifying.
Unless they resorted to employing Imperial Artifacts, it would be difficult for them to deal with the Void Creatures with their strength alone.
However, an Imperial Artifact could not be summoned so lightly.
Especially now, when they had not even found Yu Zi Yu, the target of their ambush. If they brought out the big guns right now, what would they do when he finally appeared?
*Hahaha…* Yu Zi Yu couldn’t help but break into laughter, observing their predicament.
Though amusing, it was worth noting that ten days of battle meant little to existences at the peak of Tier-6.
Their Spiritual Energy was vast and enduring. For them, a fight lasting hundreds, even thousands of days wasn’t unheard of.
There was even a legend that spoke of two powerful beings who battled from sunrise to sunset, and then back from sunset to sunrise. They would fight without pause for centuries. Just the shockwaves from their battle had shattered dozens of Small Worlds.
In light of this, it was not unusual for battles between such powerful experts to last ten days or even more.
And indeed, that was the case.
Whether it was Tier-6 Overlords, Tier-7 Hegemons , or even the future Tier-8 Eternal Venerables, unless there was an absolute, overwhelming disparity in strength, battles between them often stretched on endlessly.
A drawn-out fight was quite the norm.
…
“That Tier-6 Troll King is… not bad.” With a smile playing on his lips, Yu Zi Yu’s gaze shifted to a distant corner of the battlefield.
There, wielding a massive spiked mace, stood a green-skinned brute with tusks protruding from his jaw, his skin obsidian-black and glistening with raw power.
This was a race, which Yu Zi Yu had encountered before, during the battle to eliminate the Heaven-Connecting Divine Tree.
However, this race had no Imperial Artifacts, yet they were no less terrifying.
Simply because they possessed terrifying strength, thanks to their Bloodlines and ancient Secret Techniques passed down within the Clan.
That was the source of this Troll King’s confidence to enter the depths of the Void.
Furthermore, the spiked mace in his hands was a formidable Artifact.
Amidst the pulsating dull gleam, it radiated a crushing pressure that made the very Void tremble.
*Booooooom…* With a deafening roar, the Void Emperor he’d been locked in combat with for days was sent flying, unable to withstand the sheer force behind the Troll’s blows.
In terms of raw power, this Troll King was indeed monstrous.
[But alas, since you came to obstruct my Tribulation, your death is sealed.]
With that thought, Yu Zi Yu slowly lifted his hand, as divine radiance flickering deep within his eyes.
And the very next moment…
*Boooooom…*
Time froze.
Everything, every sound, every ripple. Everything was halted in that moment.
All except Yu Zi Yu’s right hand, which stretched forward across space, across distance, like a phantom piercing the veil of reality. It reached for the Troll King.
Space, infinite, ever-stretching.
But now, folded upon itself again and again, Yu Zi Yu’s hand was able to reach into the endless distance.
And since the Time was frozen, the Troll King likely wouldn’t even have time to realize what was happening.
…
Thus, in the very next moment, before the stunned gazes of countless Void Creatures…
*Booooom…* A thunderous roar shook the Void itself.
And faintly, a terrifying, boundless pressure began to rise.
“What’s happening?”
“What is this aura?!”
Exclamations of alarm echoed through the endless dark, as the expressions of Void Creatures and even the mighty Troll King shifted drastically, simply because a crushing force came straight bearing down on their hearts, suffocating, as if the Void itself had grown heavy.
And before anyone could react…
*Boooooom…* Another deafening explosion rang out, and from the depths of the Void, purple Void Energy rolled forth like a tidal wave, rising tens of thousands of meters high.
And then within that towering, violet wave, a single hand emerged.
Seemingly sculpted from jade, the hand was crystalline and flawless, like an art of God.
However, beautiful or not, that hand happened to be reaching forward straight for the Troll King.
“What’s this?” Horror flashed across the Troll King’s face, but before he could move, his body froze.
A power beyond comprehension had locked him in place in an instant.
In that moment, he was no longer a Troll, he was nothing but a helpless ant, completely powerless to even react, much less resist.
All he could do was watch, wide-eyed, as the hand drew near.
*Crack…* A sharp and crisp sound echoed, much like a crystal breaking.
And then, before the eyes of countless Void Creatures, the towering Troll King… was effortlessly grabbed.
There had been no defence, because there was no time to defend.
There had been no struggle, because there wasn’t even the courage to struggle.
Cradled within the palm of that hand, the mighty Troll King finally tasted true terror.
His blood ran cold. His body stopped responding.
Even his Spiritual Energy… ceased flowing.
“It’s like time itself has stopped…” In the final flickers of consciousness, all the Troll King could feel was despair, an overwhelming, formless dread.
However, Yu Zi Yu paid him no heed.
With a flick of the wrist, he sealed the Troll King within a Spacetime dimension.
And then he turned his gaze to a nearby figure.
Hidden within the depths of the Void, shifting endlessly in form, this being shimmered with the shapes of countless weapons.
This was Arsenal, a Void Emperor.
Though it was ranked low among the Void Emperors, it was powerful nonetheless. At least strong enough to fight evenly with the Troll King and his Divine Artifact.
Now, as a reward, Yu Zi Yu slowly started speaking, “Little one… would you like to follow me?”
The words echoed directly within Arsenal’s heart.
And before he could respond…
*Boooooom…* Another explosion rocked the Void, accompanied by the eruption of a horrifying aura.
What truly shocked the Void Emperor was this aura accompanying the roar, actually the pure and supreme aura of the Void intermixed in it.
“This… this is one of our own…”
Shaken, Arsenal’s expression drastically changed.
And just then, the mysterious voice returned, echoing across the Void, “Come, little one… follow me. Become the Original Sin of the Void. Rise above all other Void Emperors… Let us bear the Supreme Void together… and hunt the Myriad Races.”
Word after word, laced with horrid temptation, flowed into the Void Emperor’s mind, causing his face to change again and again.
And not long after, without hesitation, for he dared not hesitate, this proud Void Emperor slowly lowered his noble head and replied, “Greetings, My Lord…”
