“Lord of the Void…” The words rang low and heavy. At the same time, an uncharacteristically grave expression crossed the face of the figure clad in the golden imperial robe, standing at the edge of the cosmos.

    Then, he lifted his gaze.

At the far end of the starry sea, a colossal purple dragon claw stretched across the void, vast enough to blot out light itself. Its shadow spanning an entire Star System. The man’s eyes narrowed as he slowly raised his hand.

*Boooooom…* A terrifying aura suddenly surged, and the countless golden branches criss-crossing across the sky immediately sprang into action once more.

*Swish… swish…* Cutting through the space, the innumerable golden branches rose skyward, converging toward that colossal dragon claw.

*Booooom…* Then, a thunderous clash erupted, and the entire world fell silent.

    The wind stopped blowing.

The flow of Spiritual Energy froze.

All motion, all sound, all life, fell into a stillness like death itself.

It was the calmness before the storm.

At that moment, if one looked up, they would see the massive violet dragon clan clashing with an endless wave of golden willow branches.

*Boooooom…* Another roar erupted, as a fearsome shockwave, one so violent it seemed to tear through the fabric of existence, swept through the cosmic void.

It seemed as if the universe would shatter right then and there.

Wherever the shockwave passed by, everything disintegrated into dust, vanishing into oblivion.

Even the planets were not spared.

Amid the stillness, everything was wiped out.

Only those few lives that were protected by the golden branches were spared from being erased.

    “My Heavens…”

    “This… this can’t be real…”

    “Too terrifying… too terrifying…”

A wave of horror washed over the countless Titans, gawking at the apocalyptic sight unfolding before them.

Stars and planets had vanished from the face of this world in the blink of an eye. No words could describe the horror of this devastating sight.

An entire Star System, rivaling the Solar System, was gone in an instant.

Worse yet, a massive shockwave was still rolling endlessly through the void, toward the distant horizon.

Fortunately, this region was quite remote, devoid of any life.

Had it been otherwise, even the lingering shockwave of that clash would have wrought casualties beyond comprehension.

However, just then, from the far reaches of the void, a cold laugh echoed, “Demon Emperor, is it? We look forward… to our next encounter.”

As the voice faded, the violet radiance at the edge of space began to shrink, folding in upon itself until it vanished into nothingness.

Surprisingly, the enigmatic Lord of the Void had withdrawn, taking his legions of Void Creatures with him.

Not because he feared the Demon Emperor, but because, far away, the upper echelons of the Titan Clan were already approaching, with their Imperial Artifact in hand.

Even the Lord of the Void, dreadful as he was, could not risk battling both the Demon Emperor and an awakened Imperial Artifact at once.

So, he retreated, leaving a wave of terror in his wake.

“Is this… the might of a Hegemon…” The Patriarch of the Titans, Eternal Titan, gasped in shock, his eyes fixed on the shattered world.

An entire Star System had disappeared in a single exchange.

    It was far too terrifying.

“No, ordinary Hegemons aren’t this powerful,” came a low, resonant voice. It was the awakened Crown of Titan God, speaking with the gravitas of ages.

“These two… are no ordinary Hegemons. They are beings who have touched the threshold of Heaven’s Door. Perhaps, they are even more fearsome than the Heaven-Connecting Jianmu.”

“What!?” The Eternal Titan froze in shock, his heart pounding loudly.

[More terrifying than the Jianmu? Are you kidding me? Are these two monsters? It’s only the early stage of the Spiritual Energy Resurgence, and they’ve already reached this level! If those two are allowed to keep growing… would there even be room left for other powers to exist?]

However, after a moment, watching the Void Hegemon recede, a rare flicker of relief crossed his eyes.

[Thankfully, the Demon Emperor is standing on our side. Without him, or if he had allied with the Void Clan, that would have been a true cataclysm. Now, at least, with the Demon Emperor restraining the Void Hegemon, the balance could still be maintained… for the moment.]

*Hoooo…* Taking a deep breath, Eternal Titan forced down the lingering dread in his chest. Raising his head, he looked toward the distant golden figure, and offered his gratitude, “Many thanks for your intervention, Your Excellency Demon Emperor.”

“It’s only natural.” The calm reply came as Yu Zi Yu waved his hand. The countless golden branches that had filled the Heavens slowly dissipated, revealing the surviving Titans still shielded beneath their glow.

Then, Yu Zi Yu spoke, his tone touched with rare solemnity, “That Void Hegemon… truly cannot be underestimated.”

“What? Even Your Excellency finds him troublesome?” Eternal Titan asked in disbelief.

“Troublesome…” Yu Zi Yu murmured, as if testing the word. Then, with an open honesty, he frankly stated, “That one is indeed terrifying. Defeating him isn’t difficult for me but to completely suppress and kill him… that would be exceedingly hard.”

    “…”

Silence fell, and a grave expression took over the Eternal Titan’s face.

“It seems the Void Hegemon has already become a force to reckon with.”

    “Indeed…”

During their brief conversation, Yu Zi Yu had already conveyed the terrifying nature of the Void Hegemon’s power.

Soon, he glanced toward the distance and stated, “I still have matters to attend to. I’ll take my leave first.”

“Farewell, Demon Emperor…” Eternal Titan bowed deeply, watching as the golden radiance arced through the stars, fading into the horizon.

Only after that divine glow had long vanished did he turn to the sentient crown above his head. “Sir… what do you make of him?”

The Crown of Titan God’s spirit hesitated for a moment before speaking, its voice filled with incredulity, “Terrifying, far more terrifying than you can imagine.”

[Just what kind of cultivation had this being undergone… to reach such a level? Even without breaking through Heaven’s Door, his aura already rivals a Level-1 Hegemon, perhaps even approaching Level-2! And that’s even before ascension! And this is before ascension. If he were to step beyond Heaven’s Door…]

The Crown of Titan God’s spirit couldn’t help but shudder at the thought of this.
