After listening to Shan Xiong’s description, Yan Jiao proceeded without delay towards the Yong’an Building.

He felt that something was not quite right about this situation, but everything needed to be reported to the Shaman first.

*Step step step…* Ten minutes later, he arrived on the second floor of Yong’an Building and explained the situation again from beginning to end.

Yan Jiao’s expression was extremely serious, standing very straight, he asked. “Shaman, how should we handle these two?”

“For such Tribal matters in future, you are fully qualified to make your own decisions.” Su Bai said.

His reasoning for saying this was that he wanted Yan Jiao to share some of his burdens. After all, he needed to manage the Tribe’s major direction in development, and these small matters were difficult to control.

Moreover, he did not want the people of the Tribe to feel that everything was being controlled by him alone. After all, the other person was the Chieftain, and he should also let him experience what it feels like to manage and make decisions for the Tribe.

So typically, it was best to let him handle such minor matters directly, as they were not of particular significance.

“Shaman, this matter isn’t as simple as it appears. These two seem to have come with ill-intent.” Yan Jiao immediately explained.

Hearing the other’s response, he realised that he had not expressed himself clearly, so he quickly added more details.

“Oh? How so?” Su Bai raised his eyebrows slightly.

From what he had just heard, it seemed like two injured people had arrived at the Tribe, and they appeared rather suspicious.

If it was just a minor issue, then it could be handled directly without the need to consult him.

But having heard that the matter was not as straightforward as he had thought, Su Bai immediately became interested.

“The injured person seems to have been deliberately injured, all for the purpose of entering our Tribe.” After recalling for a moment, Yan Jiao continued. “Moreover, looking at both their attire and appearance, they don’t resemble Wanderers at all, but rather they look like they’ve come from a proper Tribe…”

He recounted all the details thoroughly, ensuring nothing was omitted.

“Is that so? If what you say is true, then they indeed intentionally sought to enter our Flame Dragon Tribe.” Su Bai became serious.

Only after hearing the complete account did he realise that the situation was truly not as simple as it seemed.

“Yes, Shaman, shall we kill them directly?” Yan Jiao immediately asked. He would absolutely not allow anyone to encroach upon the Tribe.

“No, you just mentioned someone was injured. Have people been sent to treat them?” Su Bai asked.

Yan Jiao immediately shook his head and said. “Not yet, I told everyone not to attend to them for now.”

“First, have someone move the injured person out, tell the other person we’re taking him for treatment, then don’t worry about him after moving him out and kill him.”

Su Bai maintained a serious expression and continued with his instructions. “As for the uninjured person, have him locked up. I’ll personally interrogate him.”

He had never interrogated anyone before, so this time he could finally test some things out.

The reason for moving the person separately and then killing him was to lower the other person’s guard, to prevent them from being too cautious.

“I understand.” Yan Jiao nodded. Although he did not know what the plan was, he felt that the Shaman’s decision was correct.

    *Step step step…*

He strode away, walking directly towards that wooden house, then had people arrange everything according to the Shaman’s orders.

After receiving the order, He Chuan immediately left, following the instructions to move that person out.

“Where are you taking him?” Feng immediately stood up straight and asked.

He had been worrying that no one would come, so while no one was around, he had secretly chatted with Zhu for quite a while, only stopping when he heard movement.

“If you don’t want your friend to die, then obediently remain here. We’re taking him for treatment.” He Chuan said convincingly.

Feng heard this and nodded repeatedly, saying excitedly. “Good, please quickly take him for treatment; he’s really about to die.”

At this moment, his acting was quite good, with both his words and expressions being appropriate for what someone would show if their friend was injured and about to die.

“You just stay here for now. When your friend has been treated, we will naturally bring him back.” He Chuan said.

“Yes, I’ll leave him in your care.” Feng said without hesitation.

He was already calculating his next move, thinking about how to properly investigate the Flame Dragon Tribe.

What secrets could possibly have caused the entire Black Snake Tribe to disappear, and there were also those strange weapons they had taken, as well as those large ‘wooden houses’ at the entrance.

He wanted to understand everything; he just needed to stay in this Tribe for a day or two.

“…” He Chuan said nothing more as he left the wooden house with his group, not looking back once.

    *Step step step…*

He Chuan brought Zhu back outside the Tribe, looking at him with a stern expression, he said. “Stop pretending.”

… Zhu was clearly flustered, but years of experience told him not to speak first.

He still kept his eyes tightly shut, remaining the same, not even daring to breathe.

“Don’t you think you’ve done a poor job? Who wouldn’t see through such a clumsy performance?” He Chuan directly asked.

Although Zhu kept his eyes closed, hearing these words, beads of sweat began to roll down his forehead in large drops.

He could not help but swallow, but troublingly, the gulping sound was far too loud.

“Still want to keep pretending?” He Chuan continued asking.

He was already brandishing his Crocodile Blade; if the other person remained silent, he would end the other’s life. After all, there was still one more person left in the Tribe. When the time came, they could just question him instead; it did not matter whether this person lived or died.

Zhu suddenly opened his eyes and asked in shock. “How did you know?”

He had felt that their performance was very convincing, but unexpectedly, they were still discovered.

And to be discovered in such a short time, with the two of them even being separated – the meticulous logic was terrifying.

Thinking about it, no wonder the Black Snake Tribe had been completely wiped out. This move alone revealed how terrifying this Tribe was.

“How we know is something you should ask yourselves. Don’t you think your performance was too obvious?” He Chuan mercilessly mocked.

In fact, he could tell at a glance; no Wanderer would be dressed so neatly. Moreover, both men were Totem Warriors, and the injury clearly was not a particularly serious wound. Additionally, it was clearly a fresh wound, so how could he suddenly have fallen unconscious?

“I don’t know what you’re talking about…” Zhu still struggled desperately at this point.

“You don’t need to know anymore.” He Chuan swung his Crocodile Blade down.

    In an instant, blood splattered…

they’re actually so dumb for that. i like how the author says “the meticulous logic was terrifying.” and then also says that their disguise is incredibly obvious and that they were easily able to tell at a glance they were faking
