Night fell over the Flame Dragon Tribe and every part of it glowed with light. The Night Glow Insects along the roadsides shone no less brightly than any electric bulb.

The Tribe’s roadside lamps had all been replaced with Night Glow Insects by now, and looking out across the Tribe it truly resembled a city in every respect.

The Tribe was especially lively that evening. Several barbecue racks had been set up in the square, loaded with whole roasting pigs, whole roasting sheep, and whole roasting cattle.

It was a vivid, noisy scene. The Flame Dragon Tribe had been raising cattle, sheep, and horses for a long while now, and the scale of that animal husbandry had long since expanded.

A number of buildings had been erected specifically for the livestock not far from the Tribe, covering an area several football fields. The sheer scale of it was rather staggering.

“People singing and dancing everywhere you look. It’s quite the scene.” Su Bai said it with real satisfaction.

He could barely believe what he was seeing. All of it felt slightly unreal.

Light blazed from every corner. Every household was full of noise and warmth. The smooth broad roads and the tall buildings rising above them were things that had not existed before.

Most importantly, the Flame Dragon Tribe had won. Now was the best possible moment to celebrate.

“Shaman, is our Tribe about to soar towards a better future?” Yan Hua blinked her delicate red eyes.

Today had really wrung the nerves out of her. It was, after all, the first time she had been entrusted with something so important.

Taming Ferocious Beasts or striking a Small Tribe was one thing. This had been facing a Large Tribe.

If Yan Hua had made even one mistake, the entire plan could have fallen into chaos.

“Yes. Our Tribe will only keep getting better.” Su Bai said it with complete certainty.

There were so many plans yet to be put into motion. City reconstruction for every Tribe. Expanding the Tribe’s territory and beginning the construction of cement houses and cement roads. Properly implementing a legal system, so that a society with rule of law could finally take shape.

And Su Bai wanted to elevate many talented people. To truly put the principle of advancement through merit into practice.

“Shaman, what do we do with the people from the Dark Scorpion Tribe?” Sha Lan asked.

She and the others had not gone down to the square to join the celebration. Instead, they stood at the floor-to-ceiling window on the second floor of the Yong’an Building, looking out.

Not joining the celebration did not mean they were not excited. On the contrary, it was precisely because they were so excited that they did not want to join in. They were worried they might lose themselves completely in the revelry.

Yan Jiao and Cang Shi, on the other hand, were right in the middle of the crowd, singing and dancing. The smiles on their faces said everything.

“Have you made sure there are no Warrior Trainees among them?” Su Bai asked.

“None at all. They are all ordinary people, and every one of them is young, somewhere between twenty and thirty years of age.” Sha Lan replied promptly.

After Yan Hua brought them back, Sha Lan had taken responsibility for settling them in and checking whether any Warrior Trainees had slipped in among them.

A Warrior Trainee was considerably stronger than an ordinary person, after all. If one was overlooked it could still cause harm to the Flame Dragon Tribe.

“Let them settle in for now. After the battle yesterday, they must be frightened.” Su Bai folded his arms across his chest. He looked out at the lively scene below and said. “After some time has passed, have them sign the Contract. They will be Flame Dragon Tribe members from then on.”

“Shaman, you truly intend to accept them into our Tribe?” Yan Hua asked with curiosity.

The Dark Scorpion Tribe had really been dreadful. Accepting that Tribe’s people so suddenly felt strange to Yan Hua.

“They are innocent. They followed the Dark Scorpion Tribe, that is all. You know very well what that Tribe did. The fact they’ve managed to get here safely at all is already good fortune for them.” Su Bai gave Yan Hua a gentle pat on the head and said, “Besides, our Tribe is in desperate need of labour right now, and they are without question the best source of it.”

His willingness to accept that Tribe’s people was simply because the Flame Dragon Tribe’s future development would require large numbers of people.

This group would be able to assist Su Bai in any number of ways: constructing buildings, laying roads, agricultural work, all of it.

“That’s true. We have so many more roads to build. Putting them to work on road construction is a good option. They are all young, after all.” Yan Hua gave a nod of agreement.

“Yes. Youth is the greatest creative force, and the finest labour force. With them, our Tribe can develop even faster.” Su Bai said it plainly.

“Shaman, you said before that once the Dark Scorpion Tribe matter was settled, we would be renaming our Tribe, yes?” Sha Lan suddenly remembered.

“From tomorrow, the Flame Dragon Tribe will no longer be the Flame Dragon Tribe. We will be Yong’an City!” Su Bai said it with the weight of each word deliberate and clear.

He had long wanted to change the Flame Dragon Tribe’s name. Always calling it a Tribe felt a little too rough and primitive.

Yong’an City was the name he had settled on long since in his heart. It was the beginning of the Flame Dragon Tribe’s march into a better future.

“Yong’an City! The groundwork has already been laid. I’m sure everyone will accept the name.” Sha Lan said it with excitement.

The groundwork that had been laid beforehand had been built around ideas like: the Flame Dragon Tribe becoming better, and how only by changing its name could the Flame Dragon Tribe welcome a more beautiful future. That sort of thing.

In short, it had been a gradual process of persuasion spread through the wider population. At the very start there had been some resistance.

But after people heard about the origins of the Flame Dragon Tribe’s goods and innovations, they came to feel the name change was genuinely necessary, and that it held the meaning of following Su Bai forward.

It was this final point that had brought every last person in the Flame Dragon Tribe around completely. Because it was only by following the current Shaman that their lives would continue to improve.

Changing the Flame Dragon Tribe’s name to Yong’an City was therefore entirely reasonable. And with the Dark Scorpion Tribe resolved, the timing could not have been better.

“And the kingdom that will be established will be called the Great Han Dynasty. Yong’an City will be its Capital. The other Tribes will also change their names in due course.” Su Bai said it with the corners of his mouth lifted.

He had not anticipated any of this coming together so quickly. At the very beginning he had simply wanted to bring city-style development to the Flame Dragon Tribe.

But with other Tribes joining and their attitudes shifting, establishing a proper kingdom had not proven difficult at all.

The name Great Han Dynasty was something he had settled on a few days prior. He felt only this name was worthy of what Yong’an City was destined to become.

“Great Han Dynasty? What a wonderful name. Come to think of it, our Tribe’s old name really was rather plain.” Sha Lan gave her cat tail a flick.

“Everyone is going to be very excited tomorrow.” Yan Hua could already picture what tomorrow’s speech would look like.

After defeating the Dark Scorpion Tribe the previous day, word had been put out that morning: celebrate for one day, then gather for the speech.

“Tomorrow, everything will become clear.” Su Bai smiled quietly.
