Yu Ying observed Su Bai carefully in the mirror, her scissors paused for quite a while in her hand.

She mustered her courage, holding the comb, and said cautiously/ “Shaman, I’m really going to continue cutting, alright?”

“Hahaha!” Su Bai laughed heartily, nodded his head and said no more.

Yu Ying was still as adorable as ever, looking just like a child who had done something wrong.

    *Snip! Snip…*

The sound of scissors cutting continued to ring out, and strands of Su Bai’s black hair slowly fell to the floor.

Yu Ying gradually became more skilled from her initial clumsiness, cutting hair with considerable seriousness.

She put away the scissors and said with satisfaction. “Shaman, I think it’s rather good. What do you think?”

Su Bai looked at himself in the mirror. His hair was indeed much shorter, no longer the dishevelled appearance from before.

His bright black eyes were now revealed, and he smiled. “This will do. Next time I’ll entrust my hair to you.”

The overall haircut could not be called very attractive, and was even a bit rough, but it looked clean and refreshing overall. A marked improvement to before. After all, it was Yu Ying’s first time cutting hair, so one could not be too demanding of her. The result was already decent.

“Yes, I shall certainly work hard to learn proper haircutting.” Yu Ying was filled with fighting spirit.

“Sweep up the loose hair and burn it. I’m going to wash my hair,” Su Bai said as he stood up.

“Very well.” Yu Ying had someone begin tidying up while following closely behind herself.

After Su Bai washed and dried his hair, he felt much more comfortable. It was no longer the itchy uncomfortable as before.

“Shaman, I wonder how Ah’Hua and the others are doing. They’ve been away for three days now,” Yu Ying said, blinking her pink eyes.

“Don’t worry, it’s not their first mission.” Su Bai said gently.

Yu Ying nodded, fidgeting with her pink hair and asking. “Shaman, is there anything to do today?”

What Yu Ying looked forward to most each day was precisely this, no one knew whether the Shaman might have something new appear again.

Previously there had been perfume, ice-making, preserved meat and so forth… each item was something worth anticipating.

“Today I intend to draw several simple clothing designs for the workshop to make.” Su Bai said softly.

Yu Ying tilted her head, swishing her pink fox tail as she asked. “Shaman, aren’t the current clothes good enough?”

Yu Ying looked at the simple linen top and short skirt she was wearing, thinking they looked quite lovely.

“Hahaha.” Su Bai rubbed her head and continued. “Not everyone has linen, and I must also consider Animal Hide. Moreover, linen clothing comes in many styles too.”

“Shaman, should Animal Hide clothes be made the same as linen ones?” Yu Ying asked curiously.

“No, while everyone has Animal Hide, obtaining it is not very easy. We should save on whatever ‘fabric’ wherever possible.” Su Bai paused, then continued. “The styles should naturally be made more simple as well.”

“I understand. Animal Hide clothing shouldn’t be made in the same style as linen, is that right?” Yu Ying asked with partial comprehension.

“One could put it that way. They could be made even simpler. After all, it’s already summer and it is so warm.” Su Bai nodded.

He was thinking that if Animal Hide were made into T-shirts, it would be a waste of material. Moreover, wearing Animal Hide T-shirts in the summer would be extremely warm for the person.

“I see. I wonder what the Shaman intends to draw them like?” Yu Ying asked curiously.

“Let me think about it first. You can go and make some orange-scented perfume. Keep it ready for future use,” Su Bai said softly.

He did not want to see Yu Ying constantly watching him draw, or else he would get distracted looking at her.

“Very well, I’ll go now. We picked quite a lot of fresh oranges today.” Yu Ying departed cheerfully.

Su Bai took up his pencil to conceptualise the design drawings in his mind, taking out a sheet of paper and beginning to draw.

    *Swish swish swish…*

The pencil constantly rubbing against paper made swishing sounds, and outlines began to appear on the paper.

Su Bai drew a waistcoat, suspender top, shorts, vest and other simple garments.

He was thinking that in such hot weather, with Animal Hide being non-breathable, wearing clothes was originally just for modesty.

Waistcoats or vests could cover what needed covering while not wasting too much fabric,  they were good choices.

“The manufacturing materials need not be so numerous, the exchange value need not be so high, and wearing them would be cooler too.” Su Bai muttered to himself.

He placed the finished drawing to one side with satisfaction and took up another sheet of paper to continue drawing.

“Linen can also be made into these clothes, though T-shirts should remain the go to design. When autumn comes and it gets a bit cool, one can simply put a jacket over the top.” Su Bai continued talking to himself.

He wanted to begin changing the Primitive Tribe’s clothing style.

For girls it was just Animal Hide wrapped around the upper body, with short skirts for the lower half. For men it was no upper clothing, with Animal Hide wrapped around the lower body.

Sometimes this was highly inconvenient for work, not to mention going out hunting, when one would occasionally be exposed.

Su Bai wanted to change the clothing styles to make everyone more comfortable when wearing these new designs, and more convenient and unrestricted when moving about.

[But, not everyone can get linen. Also, now that our linen clothing are being promoted, others will imitate them, so the exchange value should be set higher.] Su Bai thought to himself.

Primitive Tribe people knew nothing, but they had a strong ability to imitate. Seeing any good things from another Tribe, they would copy them over as long as conditions did not limit them.

Tribes that had linen would take their linen and copy the garments following the Flame Dragon Tribe’s style.

Originally, the Flame Dragon Tribe’s linen clothing was all sewn stitch by stitch by everyone. Copying it would not be that difficult.

[Since imitation is inevitable, it will be copied sooner or later anyway. Rather than that, we might as well profit first.] Su Bai thought privately.

Imitations were just imitations at the end. Other Tribes’ linen was not as good as the Flame Dragon Tribe’s anyway.

Moreover, they did not have coloured linen like the Flame Dragon Tribe, so even if imitated, it would not matter much.

People pursuing quality would still exchange for the Flame Dragon Tribe’s linen clothing, or those wanting to distinguish their status from others would also want Flame Dragon Tribe’s linen clothing.

“Xiao Yu, come over here first.” Su Bai beckoned, continuing. “Take these drawings to the workshop and have them make sample pieces for me to see.”

Yu Ying took the drawings and looked them over, nodding with partial understanding: “I’ll go have them work on it right now.”

The drawings were very detailed, with subdivision diagrams for each garment drawn out.  There were the front panels and back panels, as well as the curves at the armholes and so forth.

Anyone who was not a fool could cut according to the shapes on the drawings and obtain the complete garment.

“En.” Su Bai lowered his head to continue his busy work.
