The waiter was elated upon seeing that. He carefully kept the piece of Source Crystal and respectfully left. It was his first time coming across a generous customer like her. Even a Dao Realm expert would covet this Source Crystal.

“Azure Clouds Ancient Territory used to be a territory of Land of Celestial Suffering. But, it was occupied by the Heavenslayers Alliance after its demise.

“The Timely Legacy Ancient City is one of the major cities in Land of Celestial Suffering. It seems that I have to stay here if I want to find out more about the Heavenslayers Alliance.” After the waiter left, the woman in a black dress waved her hand and set up several Restrictions outside the Supreme Cave. Then, she muttered to herself meditatively.

Although the Supreme Cave looked small on the outside, it was vastly different on the inside. In the depths of it was a Small Universe where there were mountains, lakes, and rivers.

She nonchalantly sat down on a cushion and waved her hand. A ray of light appeared and turned into an ancient mirror.

The scene in the mirror shifted. Flames fell from the sky while carrying broken Spacetime Rifts. The boundless black mist exuded from those rifts and covered the entire sky. The world was soon devoured by the black mist and turned into desolateness.

“I can’t find the True World nurtured by Little Nine. Did those dark beings destroy it already? In that case, how am I supposed to explain it to her?” The woman in a black dress stared fixedly at the mirror with a frown. She was the Third Princess of the Epoch Cicadas Clan from the Hidden Ancient Civilisation.

She was trying to fulfil her promise to Little Nine since she left the Hidden Ancient Civilisation.

The appearance of the Black Disaster disrupted her initial plan. She had no choice but to set off to look for the True World nurtured by Little Nine.

In the ever-vast Boundless Expanse, a Nascent True World was as insignificant as a speck of dust.

Faced with the calamity that came out of nowhere, there was no way they could resist it. Therefore, she was worried an accident might have happened.

Although Little Nine had gave her the coordinates, it was still difficult for her to find it.

She had spent a lot of effort, but she still could not located that True World. Regardless of how many deductions she made, she still could not find a single trace of it. It was as though the True World had never existed.

This made her anxious. She suspected that the Nascent True World might have been devoured by the black mist and become the nutrients for those dark beings just like the others.

In that case, how was she supposed to explain herself to her Ninth Sister?

“For the sake of the Epoch Cicadas Clan, Little Nine agreed to plead with the High Priestess despite knowing that she would be deeply humiliated. I can’t even protect the Nascent True World for her as promised…” The woman in a black dress sighed. She did not think there was any hope. In the past years following the appearance of the Black Disaster, countless Nascent True Worlds had been destroyed and turned into nutrients for those dark beings. It was not surprising for Little Nine’s True World to also be gone.

Moreover, since she had arrived at a Heavenslayers Alliance’s territory, she had to consider carrying out her initial plan. She did not have the time and energy to look for the True World.

Whether the Epoch Cicadas Clan could deviate from the preordained trajectory and save themselves depended on the bet she made this time.

She fell into her thoughts. Her intention of coming to this Heavenslayers Alliance’s territory was to find out whether they could truly slay Heaven, just like the name of their alliance suggested.

Could the almighty Heavenslayers Alliance Leader, who was revered by countless beings, really achieve his goal?

In that case, she would have to take the gamble even if her actions might bring the Epoch Cicadas Clan to destruction.

“Countless years have passed. Back then, the Master of the Epoch Cicadas Clan was an authoritative figure. But now, we have to rely on a True World to survive and lower our heads while being suppressed by others. Just how pathetic are we right now?” The woman’s emotions undulated in her heart when she thought about this. She was sorrowful and resentful.

This area was covered in clouds and the Mist of Chaos. It was a boundless and unknown area. One could only find it through a specific Time Node. Around this chaotic Node, the Fragments of Time danced in the void. Even a powerful Dao Realm expert would not be able to enter.

The aura here was terrifying for ordinary cultivators. It could tear them apart and turn them into dust in an instant. This was the most dangerous Forbidden Area.

“Alliance Leader, this is the entrance of the Empty Boundary Ridge. Back then, I came across this place and met their Second Leader, Shang Chongming, by chance.” A good-looking man looked at this chaotic area and spoke respectfully.

“Shang Chongming has gone through his Eighth Decay Tribulations, but he’s only the Second Leader of the Empty Boundary Ridge. In that case, I believe their First Leader will pique my interest.” Beside the man, a dispassionate and elegant young man put on a faint smile. He was clad in a fitting black robe. His sleeves were embroidered with patterns such as stars, a Moon, and a Sun. His hands were behind his back. His tied-up hair and his sleeves swayed with the wind. He was none other than Gu Changge, who had left the Heavenslayers Alliance.

“I didn’t get to see the First Leader of the Empty Boundary Ridge. But, since Shang Chongming respects her very much, I suppose she’s must be strong.” Said the good-looking man.

He was Dao Monarch Chang Ming, who had joined the Heavenslayers Alliance. After the Primary Hope Covenant was destroyed that day, he did not manage to flee along with Shang Chongming and the others.

Then, he was confined. To express his loyalty, he willingly started working for Gu Changge.

“I hope she won’t be a disappointment.” Gu Changge smiled and waved his hand, after which this broken area was torn apart. A fissure appeared before their eyes.

He had not been idle since the Righteous Alliance was created to counter the influence of the Heavenslayers Alliance.

After he told Ling Yuling to help manage the Heavenslayers Alliance, he planned on creating a new Force.

He had decided to call it the Heavenslayers Division for the time being to separate it from the Heaven Legion and the Eight Legions.

Certainly, unlike those fervent followers called the Heavenslayers Guardians, people selected into the Heavenslayers Division by Gu Changge, were surely extraordinary.

During this period, he searched around the Primary Hope Civilisation. Those well-hidden beings could not possibly avoid his detection.

The Empty Boundary Ridge was one of the places that Gu Changge felt was a source of more powerful experts.

Dao Monarch Chang Ming led the way and entered the place first, followed by the nonchalant Gu Changge.

They passed through layers of mist and entered the boundless galaxy where there were countless stars. They could see many stars and mountains hovering in the Star Territory. Every area was full of vitality and Spiritual Energy.

When one looked down from above, he could see that the oceans and lush lands on those stars were primitive. It was as though they had never come into contact with the outside world.

    *Thump! Thump!*

All sorts of ancient living beings were running in the mountains. Their scales of different colours radiated an eerie glow, and their mighty aura filled the air.

An ancient bird that looked like a Vermilion Bird flew across the sky. The bird was so scarlet that it was as though the creature was made from Phoenix blood. Its caw reverberated across the mountains, causing the sky to tremble.

It was a prehistoric scene. All sorts of ancient beasts showed up. They were from the rare Ancient Races.

Many Races lived in these territories. All of them were born powerful. Although separated from the outside world, they all still knew how to cultivate.

When Gu Changge and Dao Monarch Chang Ming arrived, the sounds of a bell was suddenly heard.

The skies trembled. A massive ancient bronze bell broke through the mountain range and rose into the sky while carrying dirt and dust. It oscillated in the sky.

The deafening sounds of the bell spread in the void like ripples. The eternal serenity had been shattered, and this place descended into chaos.

At the end of the mountain range in the depths of the largest star, countless beings in those floating cities and palaces were shocked. Be it Humans or other Races, they immediately shot into the sky.

“He’s finally arrived.” Inside a splendid palace, a handsome man, who was in seclusion, opened his eyes. He was clad in silk clothes with a belt around his waist. He looked like a nobleman who enjoyed a life of luxury. At this moment, he donned a dark expression while feeling fearful and wary.

“What happened?” Many beings looked at the massive bell in shock, not knowing what was happening. They had not heard this bell for a long time. Yet, they all knew what the bell toll mean.

This was a Forbidden Area that was separated from the outside world. The tranquillity in the Empty Boundary Ridge was finally shattered.

It meant that either some invaders had come or the Empty Boundary Ridge was facing an immense enemies, and it was about to be destroyed.

*Boom!* A deafening sound was suddenly heard as though a bolt of lightning had struck in the depths of the sky.

Then, a blood mist appeared and bones fell from the sky. The beings of the Empty Boundary Ridge watched in shock as a body dropped. The person was soaked in blood and there was a huge hole from his chest to his back. His wounds were charred and covered in a destructive aura.

When he crashed into the ground, it broke apart and a chasm appeared.

    “H-He’s the Sixth Leader…”

Those below were terrified when they made out the person’s appearance. Disbelief was written all over their faces and their voices were shaky.

The Empty Boundary Ridge had nine Leaders. All of them had gone through many Decay Tribulations.

The Third Leader and the Second Leader were in the Ancestral Dao Realm. In short, they had gotten through their Seventh Decay Tribulation.

However, someone as powerful as the Sixth Leader fell from the sky while soaked in blood. It was apparent that he had exchanged blows with the enemy when no one was aware.

He was defeated, without any power to resist.

Some horrifying energy filled the depths of the sky. Bolts of red lightning intertwined with each other. Each of them was as massive as a star. They formed an endless pool of lightning.

A figure clad in a black robe was slowly approaching them.

His hands were at his back and his sleeves swayed with the wind. He looked at everyone with an impassive gaze. All those that saw him felt cold all over their bodies. It was as though their Souls had been frozen.

Dao Monarch Chang Ming could hardly conceal his shock and fear. He respectfully and obediently followed Gu Changge.

Just now, he did not even realise that the Sixth Leader of the Empty Boundary Ridge had come to attack them, even when he himself was an Ancestral Dao Realm expert.

However, it was pointless for the Sixth Leader to attack them. Before he could even go near his target, Gu Changge waved his hand and a light beam penetrated the opponent’s chest. The Sixth Leader was thus injured and sent flying.

“We’re sorry for failing to welcome and greet an important guest like you. Please forgive all of us from the Empty Boundary Ridge.” Some figures flew over from the depths of a heavenly palace. The person at the head was an old man. He could hardly conceal his fear and shock as he cupped his fists and spoke.

He was not Human. There were a pair of dark cow horns on his forehead, and he was much bulkier than an average person.

Behind him were even more people. They were beings who had lived in the Empty Boundary Ridge for who knows how long. They included all sorts of Ancient Races. They were fearful when looking at Gu Changge.

Some Leaders of the Empty Boundary Ridge were also there. Some were men and some were women. Most of them assumed a Human Form with some exotic features. The weakest ones had gone through their Third Decay Tribulation.

Some people directly headed to the place where the Sixth Leader had fallen and tried to help him up.

“I don’t think I’m an important guest. I’m here to see your First Leader. Just tell her to come out. It’ll save us a lot of time and trouble.” Gu Changge descended from the sky with a smile and directly informed them of his intention.

“Greetings, Alliance Leader.” A figure also showed up in the distance. Shang Chongming was solemn. He already expected Gu Changge to come one day.

After he ran away, he had been worried that this day would come. During that period, he dares not return to the Empty Boundary Ridge. He decided to see how things went as he recuperated.

At that time, the Heavenslayers Alliance was expanding and absorbing nearby Civilisations and True Worlds. Since the Black Disaster had returned, it seemed like Gu Changge lacked the time to take action against him. Shang Chongming was relieved then, and finally decided to return to the Empty Boundary Ridge.

Apart from the Leaders he was close to, he never told anyone else about the Primary Hope Covenant.

Initially, they were worried they would be affected. Nevertheless, nothing happened for some time, so they let their guard down and stopped worrying.

“Well, it seems that you’ve returned to the Empty Boundary Ridge and you’re not surprised by my arrival. Anyway, I’m not here to kill all of you. Instead, I’ve come all the way here to persuade your First Leader to join the Alliance.”

Gu Changge only swept a glance over Shang Chongming.

All of them from the Empty Boundary Ridge were solemn when they saw how scornful Gu Changge was.  Moreover, even though he said he was there to persuade the First Leader to join the Alliance, it did not seem like he came with any sincerity.

Upon his arrival, he immediately injured their Sixth Leader.

Although they rarely came into contact with the outside world, it did not mean they had no idea what was happening out there.

During this period, the Heavenslayers Alliance became famous throughout the Boundless Expanse. Countless beings were terrified of them.

Many Civilisations and True Worlds were being occupied by them. Those who went against them were destroyed and buried in ruins.

Now, the Heavenslayers Alliance Leader had even arrived at their place. It was only natural that they were petrified.

“The First Leader hasn’t shown up for many epochs. We don’t even know if she’s still in the Empty Boundary Ridge. Alliance Leader, if you’d like to see our First Leader, you’ll have to use a different way.” Shang Chongming had seen how strong Gu Changge was. At that time, the most powerful cultivators of the Primary Hope Civilisation had worked together, and they even had the Mirror of Reincarnation. Still, they were unable to defeat him.

Therefore, he dared not go against Gu Changge or hide anything from him.

Gu Changge’s expression did not change when he heard that.

He kept a faint smile on his face. “I don’t have the patience to play hide-and-seek. I know your First Leader is here. I know she doesn’t want me to destroy the Empty Boundary Ridge.”

Shang Chongming and the others were astounded. Although Gu Changge seemed indifferent, they could feel some immense pressure which made it difficult for them to breathe.

“Second Leader…” Someone with a ponytail, who looked like a child, glanced at Shang Chongming with a frown. He could hardly conceal his fury and displeasure.

They were used to being famous and powerful individuals, unafraid of death. Although they had chosen to live reclusively in the Empty Boundary Ridge and stopped interfering in worldly affairs, this did not mean they were weak, and could be bossed around.

The oppressive Gu Changge even threatened to destroy the Empty Boundary Ridge. There was no way they would put up with this.

Shang Chongming’s expression changed. Just as he was ready to persuade him, a *thud* was suddenly heard coming from the depths of the Empty Boundary Ridge. It was an area covered in miasma.

An old, dilapidated coffin with a decadent aura emerged. The thick miasma rolled into the sky and concealed everything.
