Upon hearing his explanation, Di Kun speculated that this Ancient Array prompted the black-robed old man to form an association.

 

After giving it some thought, he realised he did not have a choice. He gritted his teeth and said, “It was given to me by my Master. Senior, if you…”

 

“Your Master?” The black-robed old man did not let Di Kun finish his words. His expression changed when he heard the word ‘Master’ and he immediately released his arm.

 

Di Kun knew that the black-robed old man was wary of Gu Changge’s existence, so he continued saying, “Senior, the Heavenly Beast Soul Devouring Array was indeed given to me by my Master. I can take a Dao Oath.”

 

“Who’s your Master?” The black-robed old man stopped staring at the Ancient Array in the distance. Instead, he shifted his attention to Di Kun and spoke in a shaky voice.
