The Eternal Prime God held no feelings towards Luo Xiangjun’s Clan. There was not even pity after he heard her story.

After hearing her tale, he simply fell into his thoughts.

[Did the Luo Clan Master also work for the Master of the Heaven’s Proxy Group as well? Who is the Master of the Heaven’s Proxy Group? What is his identity? Is he also a Pre-Heaven Being just like us?]

Nevertheless, he and other Pre-Heaven Beings had never heard of him before.

After the Boundless Expanse was born, he initiated the Black Disaster Era and built Heaven’s Proxy Group, which ruled over the entire Boundless Expanse.

In a sense, the appearance of the Black Disaster changed the trajectory of Spacetime in the Boundless Expanse, making the future unpredictable.

[His true identity has been a mystery. Is he a Variable born outside the Heavenly Dao?] The Eternal Prime God fell into his thoughts.

Even Pre-Heaven Beings like them had ways of avoiding the attention of the Land of Truth and feigning death. Could a being like the Master of the Heaven’s Proxy Group really be sealed?

He heard that when the Master of the Heaven’s Proxy Group ruled over the Boundless Expanse, even Great Purges stopped.

The Master of the Heaven’s Proxy Group that people had seen was only a small part of his being. The power he had showcased was merely a fraction of his capabilities.

His True Body had never shown itself. He was probably in a difficult fight with an unknown being in an unknown dimensional Spacetime.

[The Master of the Heaven’s Proxy Group is indeed the strongest cultivator in the history of Boundless Expanse. No one is his match. It could even be said that no one in the Pre-Heaven Era was comparable to him. Could a being like him be sealed by a power found in the Boundless Expanse?] The Eternal Prime God shook his head. A being like him who had been alive for countless years was meticulous and could easily see through everything. He might not even believe what he saw with his eyes, let alone rumours he had not verified.

When one was powerful enough, they could easily change everyone’s perception and memory. They could also destroy Spacetime and rewrite it to their Will.

The Master of the Heaven’s Proxy Group was undoubtedly strong, so he was surely aware that he would be sealed in some future timeline. He had the power to destroy that timeline, annihilating all the unpredictable factors before they became serious issues.

Yet, he was still sealed in the end? Did those from the Land of Truth have a hand in this? Was it because of some other reason?

As far as the Eternal Prime God was concerned, before the Black Disaster Era, there was a period named the Dream Ashes Era.

The Dream Ashes Era left behind an important mark in the history of Boundless Expanse.

There was a being named the Dream Master, who could control dreams. His power and methods were inscrutable. He once invaded the Heavenly Dao and occupied it for some time, and his identity was a mystery as well.

During the Dream Ashes Era, the Dream Master built the Dream Domain, intending to replace the Boundless Expanse with it. There was the Cloud Dream Lake and the White Dream Lake, which corresponded to the Land of Truth and the Boundless Expanse.

Living beings would live between dream and reality. The entire Spacetime was merely an illusion.

Their Family, and even enemies might be illusory. The places they lived in and everything they saw, from the time they were born to the time they died, were merely a dream.

The Dream Ashes Era had ended. It was completely lost and no one in the Boundless Expanse was aware of it.

However, the Eternal Prime God could not help but suspect that a Force so strange and powerful that no one was aware of might have appeared and changed his perception of that era.

Perhaps the Master of the Heaven’s Proxy Group had never been sealed. He had merely changed everyone’s perception of that particular Spacetime.

However, if that period of Spacetime was real, the Master of the Heaven’s Proxy Group might have seen the future and known what would happen. That was why he chose the timeline where he would be sealed.

[Also, what’s the connection between the Heavenslayers Alliance and Heaven’s Proxy Group? Does the Heavenslayers Alliance Leader have anything to do with the Master of the Heaven’s Proxy Group?]

Suddenly, as though thinking of something, the Eternal Prime God shuddered and his back was covered in sweat.

Dark beings had suddenly returned, acting recklessly once more. Surely, there was something they could rely on.

The Time Node between the birth of the Heavenslayers Alliance and the reappearance of those dark beings was simply too coincidental.

“Regardless, I need you to bring me to your Luo Clan.” The Eternal Prime God spoke solemnly to Luo Xiangjun. His expression was serious when he looked at her.

Luo Xiangjun was gloomy and downcast upon learning that her Early Ancestor might still be alive.

She had sacrificed everything to run away from that place. She would never want to return. However, faced with the Eternal Prime God’s request, she did not have the courage to turn him down.

    …

“Mandated by Heaven, the Dao is forever prosperous. Is that what this means? Where’s Prosperous Dao? Why do the Dream Ghosts want to find this place named Prosperous Dao?”

In the depths of Purple Sky Mountain, the area was engulfed in a purple mist.

Streaks of golden light wandered around. A dazzling Sun in the sky illuminated the entire area, making the palaces look sacred and magnificent.

Zi Wanhe was seated in the hall with a dark expression while deep in his thoughts.

He did not join the epic war between the Heavenslayers Alliance and the Righteous Alliance. Still, he had received the order to allow Elders of Purple Sky Mountain to reply, bring some of their experts to the front lines.

Although the war was still ongoing, and it had caught everyone’s attention, he was not in any mood to pay any attention to it.

After the Dream Ghosts showed up and told him to find out where this place called ‘Prosperous Dao’ was, the mark they had left behind on him became increasingly conspicuous. It was like a life-threatening weapon that kept reminding him to quickly complete his side of the deal.

Zi Wanhe knew what would happen if he went back on his word, so he never dared to be negligent.

For this reason, he had secretly told his trusted aides to ask around for news about the Prosperous Dao, even if it was remotely related.

Nevertheless, it was apparent that Zi Wanhe had underestimated the difficulty of this task.

Initially, he thought that there would be many places or Forces named Prosperous Dao. After all, the Boundless Expanse was boundless and there were countless universes. There were supposed to be many places with the same name.

However, it was far from the truth. There was no place in the Boundless Expanse named Prosperous Dao. It was as though it had never existed since the beginning of time.

Zi Wanhe even told a Junior he thought highly of, Zi Susu. He had her secretly scan through ancient books. She also went to the libraries of other Forces.

Unfortunately, she reported that there were no records of the Prosperous Dao in any of those books.

Zi Wanhe speculated that the words ‘Prosperous Dao’ carry some sort of great karma. That was because, in a sense, it had something to do with Heaven.

When people named their Forces, they would not dare to use any name remotely related to it, for they could not bear the karma.

Despite that, it was unlikely that there was no record or clue about Prosperous Dao at all.

It was no wonder that even the Dream Ghosts, who could almost achieve anything they wanted, had to seek his help.

Naturally, Zi Wanhe suspected that Prosperous Dao might have existed in history.

However, for some reason, it was erased from the Boundless Expanse. Even the records, memories, and karma related to it were destroyed.

This kind of horrifying power made him tremble in fear. He wondered what he was getting himself into.

[When time is running out, I’ll have no choice but to seek the Alliance Leader’s help. He’s unfathomably strong. I believe he should be aware of something.] Zi Wanhe’s expression was solemn.

Presently, a purple mark that seemed to be flowing on his forehead radiated a faint glow.

When one looked closely, they would realise that the dark purple mark looked like it had spread out like on a piece of paper. At the bottom were many dark threads. It looked like an ancient tree as its roots extended towards the centre of his brows.

This was how much time those Dream Ghosts gave him.

He did not even know what would happen when the purple mark reached the depths of his Knowledge Sea.

Not only did the Dream Ghosts returned to change their request to this, they seem to also have no other clues. Was there anything in the Prosperous Dao that the Dream Ghosts needed? Where was the Prosperous Dao?

    …

“No one knows when this war will end. Is it worth it? Although the dark beings haven’t interfered so far, we can’t guarantee they won’t take advantage of us when both the Heavenslayers Alliance and the Righteous Alliance have suffered immense losses. If both parties suffer grave losses, the dark beings will be the ones that reap all the benefits.”

The courtyard was tranquil. The sound of flowing water was heard as a breeze whisked through the forest.

When Ling Yuling saw that Gu Changge was still calm and collected, she shook her head.

After sending out several orders, Gu Changge stopped paying attention to the war between the Heavenslayers Alliance and the Righteous Alliance. In fact, Ling Yuling had to handle most of the affairs.

It seemed like he only wanted to see the outcome of the war. He did not care about the process. He never bothered to ask how many people were injured or killed, nor did he care about what rewards they had acquired.

Ling Yuling could not figure out why he even initiated this whole war.

Since the beginning, he had never left this courtyard. He spent most of his time drinking, looking at the flowers, and fishing. For him, life was only peaceful, and nothing else.

“What do you mean they’ll reap all the benefits?” The unperturbed Gu Changge smiled. “We don’t even know who will be the final winner yet.”

Ling Yuling felt helpless. She knew that she could not see through Gu Changge’s thoughts. Rather than trying to do that, she should focus on other aspects of her own life.

“Those from the Righteous Alliance surely have something to rely on, which is why they now have the guts to clash with us head-on. But, they’ve been at a disadvantage during this period. They lost battles in all sort of places. So, there’s something I don’t understand. There must be an agreement between the Righteous Alliance and the dark beings, but during this period, the dark beings have never so much as lift a hand in their direction. Is there something fishy going on?”

She approached Gu Changge and naturally filled his cup with tea. Then, she also got herself a cup of tea.

After that, she sat down and held up the teacup. She blew at it and took a sip.

“The dark beings are busy trying to achieve their own goal. Whether the Righteous Alliance will be destroyed this time, it doesn’t matter to them.” Gu Changge picked up the cup and took a sip before putting on a smile. “You were a Great Sage who went against the Black Disaster. Don’t you remember the most important goal of those dark beings?”

Ling Yuling shot him a look and said, “You always tease me with that. So what if I used to be a Great Sage? Now, I’m just a subordinate who works for you.”

“It seems that you’ve spent too much time with Mu Yan. You’re as clever and eloquent as she is now.” Gu Changge smiled.

A smile played on Ling Yuling’s lips. Then, she extended her fair hand and tucked some of her hair behind her ears. She whispered, “Since you’ve said so, the rumours I’ve heard must be true. Those dark beings indeed want to resurrect the Master of the Heaven’s Proxy Group through the Grand Ceremony. But, from the looks of it, other than dark beings, the Righteous Alliance, and the Heavenslayers Alliance, there seems to be a fourth Force meddling.”

Gu Changge glanced at her with a look of interest. He was surprised that she suddenly brought it up.

“Who do you think are the people behind the fourth Force?” he asked.

“I suspect that it has something to do with the Primary Hope Saintess, who had escaped. Her Master is Xi Nu, after all. She used to be as famous as the Western Saintess, the Middle Monarch, the Southern Revered One, the Northern Emperor, and the Eastern King. The Mirror of Reincarnation is still in the Primary Hope Saintess’ hands. I suspect that she might have reunited with Xi Nu. After all, only people like Xi Nu understand Heaven’s Proxy Group well enough to come up with a scheme against them.”

Ling Yuling only told him her own speculation after some deliberation.

Gu Changge gave it some thought and nodded. “You have a point. But, the fourth

Force is neither a friend nor a foe. It won’t clash with the Heavenslayers Alliance during this period.”

Ling Yuling dipped her head. “But given the Heavenslayers Alliance’s reputation, it’s inevitable that we’ll come into contact with the hidden fourth Force in the future. We’d better get prepared.”

Gu Changge looked approvingly at her and said with a smile, “It seems like you’re more concerned about the Heavenslayers Alliance’s developments than me, the Heavenslayers Alliance Leader.”

“You’ve put in a lot of effort to build the Heavenslayers Alliance, after all. I’m just doing my best to help. I’d like to make it up to you for wronging you in the past.” Ling Yuling said.

“Since you’ve said so, I finally feel that everything I’ve done for you in the past was worth it.” Gu Changge took a sip of tea with a smile on his face.

Perhaps Ling Yuling felt that her transformation during this period was only normal.

However, Gu Changge still was not used to it. He loved it when she was willing to sacrifice herself to prove her innocence in front of various Forces when they were on top of the Mountain of Wonders.

That said, she was a resolute person. She had even cut off some of her memories to conceal the whereabouts of the Six Directions Heavenly Abyss.

Ling Yuling still overestimated the importance of Six Directions Heavenly Abyss to Gu Changge.

Just then, Gu Changge waved the fishing rod and the translucent fishing line dropped into the pond, causing some ripples to spread. Then, he languidly leaned on the rattan chair and put the fishing rod aside, waiting for some fish to take the bait.

Ling Yuling felt helpless while finding it humorous.

No one in the Boundless Expanse could have imagined that while it was chaotic everywhere, the mastermind behind all this, the Heavenslayers Alliance Leader, was leisurely fishing in his courtyard.

She could tell that even though the pond before Gu Changge’s eyes was clear and the bottom could be seen, different Spacetimes intertwined one another and World Auras permeated the place. The bait had probably reached another world, and no one knew what Gu Changge was trying to catch.

The courtyard became tranquil again. The aroma of tea permeated the place. Water was boiling in the teapot made of clay. A mist surrounded Ling Yuling as she patiently prepared tea for Gu Changge.

She carefully dropped the precious tea leaves into the teapot. Some strange scenes seemed to be reflected in its reflected light.

Just then, someone was heard speaking from outside the courtyard. “I’ve brought her here, Alliance Leader.”
