Time went by just like this. Three days later, Zhu Xuan discovered that his Grandfather was in a much better state.

Although his pulse and aura still was not as strong as when he was perfectly healthy, he could walk and his cultivation was slowly being restored.

Zhu Xuan was naturally elated. He became even more grateful to Gu Changge.

He had discussed the matter with Shangguan Qing and the others and made a decision. Just as he was ready to set off to look for the Pool of Creation, a tall and slender woman in a purple dress, who was wearing a half mask which revealed her flawless chin, showed up outside their courtyard along with some people from the Heavenslayers Alliance who were clad in uniform armour.

People like Zhu Xuan and Shangguan Qing were shocked, not knowing their intentions.

Soon enough, a middle-aged man behind the woman in a purple dress stepped forward and informed them of their identities.

They were the Heavenslayers Guardians of the Heavenslayers Alliance, and the woman in a purple dress was their commander, who was both powerful and inscrutable. She was an individual apparently treasured by the Alliance Leader.

Upon receiving Gu Changge’s order, they came to follow Zhu Xuan and the others to ensure their safety.

The woman in a purple dress was icy and unapproachable. She had no intention of greeting Zhu Xuan and the others. It seemed that she regarded protecting them as a simple task.

Upon hearing his explanation, Zhu Xuan and the others were relieved. They felt more confident about achieving their goal.

They did not mind the dispassion of the woman in a purple dress.

Later, Zhu Xuan found out more about the Heavenslayers Guardians through his conversation with the middle-aged man, whose went by the name Song Dao, and was a Dao Realm expert.

The other Heavenslayers Guardians were not weak either. The weakest ones were in the Immortal King Realm. It had to be noted that they had all been carefully selected.

As for the woman in a purple dress, her depths were too profound.

Zhu Xuan learned from Song Dao that the commander was icy and taciturn, just like her name Chen Jinhan.

She was not a native from the Primary Hope Civilisation. Instead, she had come to this place through a Spacetime Portal.

Song Dao and the other Heavenslayers Guardians respected her because the Alliance Leader had summoned her before. She was one of the few people of the Heavenslayers Guardians who had meetings with the Alliance Leader.

Zhu Xuan and the others naturally wouldn’t dare to be disrespectful. Since Gu Changge had told these Heavenslayers Guardians to protect them, he surely treasured them.

Certainly, they would not underestimate these Heavenslayers Guardians and regard them as subordinates.

Later, when went aboard flying boats and turned into rays of light before leaving the headquarters of the Heavenslayers Alliance.

Ah Li, who had been missing for a few days, was also in one of the flying boats. As usual, she was taciturn and ignored the others.

Still, Zhu Xuan was relieved upon seeing her.

He was worried that Ah Li had left the Heavenslayers Alliance to look for the Pool of Creation on her own.

One had to know that dark beings had devastated many places in the Boundless Expanse. No Civilisation or Kingdom was safe. Those dark beings might even be targeting her.

Regardless of how powerful she was, she could not possibly deal with countless dark beings on her own.

Despite having such worries, Zhu Xuan was not a fool. There were others who kept him safe as well, like his Grandfather and Shangguan Qing. These Seniors had given him repeated warnings, so he was cautious and never placed full trust onto Ah Li.

Time went by quickly as the flowers withered and bloomed. It had been hundreds of years since the dark beings and the Black Disaster made returned.

During this period, the situation had changed drastically in the Boundless Expanse. It could be said to be a huge reshuffle.

To those powerful cultivators, hundreds of years passed in the blink of an eye. However, to everyone else in different areas of the Boundless Expanse, every day felt like an epoch. Their days were long and suffocating.

Countless Forces had been devoured by the black mist during this period.

Wherever the black mist went, Star Territories would dim, universes would dissipate, and True Worlds would die. All the vitality was gone. Celestial palaces, magnificent temples, and sacred lands were now dilapidated as though millions of years had passed.

With the black mist serving as a bridge, those dark beings traversed across Spacetimes to attack different True Worlds and Kingdoms.

In just hundreds of years, those dark beings had occupied vast territories of the Boundless Expanse and built a large number of massive blood altars.

Blood light illuminated the dark Boundless Expanse. Every star was red and covered in black mist. The sight was eerie.

During this period, many Nascent and Ancient True Worlds were unable to receive the protection of a supreme expert, nor could their people promptly relocate. When calamity struck, resistance was high, but too weak to hold up. Such places were quickly taken over and corrupted.

Many did not even know why such a calamity happened.

Just in a day, the black mist could tear apart their sky and descend.

Countless dark beings would pour out, unable to be fully annihilated. They seemed to have come from Hell, as they carried more black mist and slaughtered their targets.

Wherever dark beings went, everything would turn into ruins. Those native beings, trying to defend at first, soon became despondent and soon got devoured by the black mist.

Every day, order would fall apart and many worlds and universes became the sacrifices of the Grand Ceremony for those dark beings.

Innumerable universes were sacrificed and destroyed. They were buried in the depths of the black mist.

Each day, incidents like these happened in various places of the Boundless Expanse.

Those Nascent and Ancient True Worlds simply lacked the power to ensure their safety.

The situation was even worse for worlds that did not have anyone to protect them.

Still, unless they had supreme experts, all True Worlds were like leaves floating on the ocean. Any wave could destroy them.

To deal with this situation, many Civilisations and Kingdoms put aside their differences and collaborated to come up with solutions.

Although those dark beings were aggressive, they were not invincible. They could still be killed by the truly powerful.

The remnants of the Black Disaster were wise. They did not focus on attacking those Supreme Civilisations. Instead, they targeted True Worlds that were far less powerful.

They had been preparing this for countless years, so they were fully aware of all coordinates of those Ancient True Worlds. They used all manner of methods to reach those places, catching its defenders off guard.

Even when Dao Realm experts traversed across the Boundless Expanse, they had to be cautious to avoid getting lost and dragged into the Chaotic Spacetime. They would not dare to wander around without clear coordinates within the Boundless Expanse.

However, those dark beings defied all the rules when they struck. Even when they were in the Chaotic Spacetime, they had their own passageways.

In this situation, everyone found it difficult to deal with those dark beings. They couldn’t be negligent.

“Kill them all! They’re Demons from outside the Boundless Expanse…”

The whole world had turned blood-soaked and broken. Black mist rolled down from the sky from all directions. Dark beings appeared and swept across the world like a storm.

All its land, islands, and mountain ranges were falling apart.

Rays of light flew out of broken mountains and cities. They were resentful but determined, ready to sacrifice their lives.

The sky, mountains, and rivers had been dyed red with blood. People were heard growling mournfully and despondently.

People from all over, from various Races, and Sects in this world, were madly going against those dark beings. At this point, they no longer cared about their own safety.

The calamity came as a surprise. No one expected a fissure to suddenly appear in the sky.

Then, the endless black mist came, and it carried a corrosive power. Wherever this black mist went, all vitality was gone.

Everything became dead and rotten. Boundless darkness covered the entire sky.

Wherever those dark beings went, lives were killed. Cities, counties, Families, and Hidden clans were all destroyed.

The mountains came apart and the sky turned dark. This world was rapidly disintegrating into dust, and no one could stop it.

In various universes, there were blood altars. Their blood light was capable of illuminating the entire world. All lost Life Essences were streaming towards them. The sight was as magnificent as waterfalls falling from Heaven.

Once the black mist passed by, this world was left in absolute desolation.

During this period, the same thing happened repeatedly in different parts of the Boundless Expanse.

For those worlds that did not have the protection of a Supreme True World, everyone lived in fear. They did not know when the calamity would strike.

Apart from those Ancient True Worlds, where there were beings who had gone through their Third or Fourth Decay Tribulation, it would be unrealistic for the others to leave their homelands.

The most powerful cultivators of those Nascent True Worlds do not even have the right to venture into the Boundless Expanse, so how were they supposed to take their people with them and leave?

If weak, the situation was desperate and all efforts were futile.

For these people, they had to submit themselves to the Heavenslayers Alliance. Those that did, were glad that they had made the right decision.

In the past hundreds of years, only territories protected by the Heavenslayers Alliance were never invaded by those dark beings. In short, these were the rare peaceful places in the Boundless Expanse.

In comparison, even Supreme True Worlds were in danger. They lacked the power to protect all the Worlds under them.

Even the Centre Balance True World, which had produced many Ancestral Dao Realm experts, which has been around for eons, and had enough might to rival Supreme True World, was almost destroyed. Those Ancient True Worlds, which relied on it were subsequently devoured by the black mist over these past hundreds of years.

Places that used to be flourishing were now desolate. In just hundreds of years, this True World, which had been around for thousands of epochs, had rapidly declined and fell.

If one were to pinpoint the main cause of their fall, it was because the experts of Major Forces in that True World immediately opened up portals to relocate their Force after the downfall of nearby Ancient True Worlds. Also, that the Supreme True Worlds never bothered to reinforce them.

The moment the crisis struck, they immediately gave up on the Centre Balance True World and never bothered to resist. It was only naturally it would fall.

So, the strong abandoned the weak, and huddled themselves in their safe corner, while the weak had to gather to fend off the incoming invasion.

Despite being abandoned by powerful Supreme True World their own experts, the Centre Balance True World still remained a defence line for those True Worlds and Kingdoms behind it, to fend off those dark beings.

Lands turned into ruins following a terrifying war. Broken corpses and fragments of weapons were littered everywhere as murderous intent filled the air.

Still, the defence line had to be held.

Even when only the edge of this broken True World remained, various True Worlds and Kingdoms collaborated and sent many powerful cultivators to guard this place. They built billions of Arrays and created countless Runes to form enormous platforms, walls, and embankments to ward off those dark beings.

On the other side of this defence line were more True Worlds and Forces that had not been destroyed, pouring their support towards the Centre Balance True World to hold on.

Those Supreme True Worlds, they had all given up on them. Other True Worlds besides their own had merely become another defence line to hold up those dark beings.

However, it should be said that defence lines like these were pointless. Dark beings could bypass the Centre Balance True World and attack them from other areas.

But to these desperate True Worlds, they merely hoped to hold up those dark beings for a little longer.

In had to be said that the Boundless Expanse had been peaceful for far too long. Even people from Supreme True Worlds lacked experience in dealing with dark beings. They were caught off guard at the return of the darkness and had no solution for the time being.

During this period, due to the Heavenslayers Alliance’s development, a peaceful area with the Primary Hope Civilisation as the centre appeared. It continued to expand.

True Worlds of different sizes yielded to the Heavenslayers Alliance and accepted their protection. Many beings in the Boundless Expanse called the safe area ‘safe zones’ or ‘sanctuaries’.

Some mighty Forces tried to relocate upon learning the news. They left their homelands and traversed across the Boundless Expanse to seek shelter in these safe zones.

As the Heavenslayers Alliance grew stronger, its safe zones continued to expand as well. Countless beings regarded it as paradise in the ever turbulent Boundless Expanse.

In just a hundred years, the Heavenslayers Alliance’s reputation reached an unprecedented height.

During this period, following a chaotic war that lasted for decades, the Rising Dawn Civilisation, which was closest to the Primary Hope Civilisation, fell apart and was downgraded from a Supreme True World to an ordinary Ancient True World.

Years ago, Ling Yuling of the Imperial Celestial Palace and many Elders from the Primary Hope Holy Church arrived at the Rising Dawn Civilisation to strike a peace agreement. They persuaded different Forces to set aside their differences and collaborate to go against the Black Disaster.

However, many Forces in the Rising Dawn Civilisation were not willing to yield to the Heavenslayers Alliance and be ruled by them.

Although Ling Yuling became a mediator and talked to those leaders on many occasions, she did not yield any meaningful results.

Those from the Rising Dawn Civilisation were willing to set aside their differences and collaborate with the Heavenslayers Alliance to go against the Black Disaster, but they refused to be ruled by the latter. As such, they never agreed to Ling Yuling’s conditions.

With the Primary Hope Civilisation as the precedent, those from the Rising Dawn Civilisation naturally could not accept becoming an appendage of the Heavenslayers Alliance.

“We can collaborate, but we must be equals. We won’t become part of the Heavenslayers Alliance.”

This was a decision made by those Forces, where there were even Ancestral Dao Realm experts.

Needless to say, following this discussion, the Rising Dawn Civilisation received the most violent attacks from the Heavenslayers Alliance.

Countless soldiers, ancient battleships, and chariots from the Heavenslayers Alliance traversed across the Boundless Expanse and attacked the Rising Dawn Civilisation.

Many Forces felt like they had Ancestral Dao Realm experts, and were still a great power, so they would not be affected by the Black Disaster for the time being. That was why they were not willing to yield to the Heavenslayers Alliance.

However, to those Forces that did not have an Ancestral Dao Realm expert, whose foundation was far weaker than that of Immortal Forces, the appearance of the Heavenslayers Alliance was like a silver lining. They were naturally willing to submit themselves to them.

They knew that those Immortal Forces would never bother to protect them when the Black Disaster struck.

Instead, they would choose to take their foundation with them and flee the Rising Dawn Civilisation. As long as they still the foundation of the Sect or Family, it was just a matter of time before they made a comeback.

The Centre Balance True World served as an example for everyone. They knew the strong would abandon them in their time of need.

At this point, no one believed that those Forces would be willing to sacrifice themselves and fend off this calamity.

In the following decades, the Rising Dawn Civilisation fell into chaos. The appearance of the Heavenslayers Alliance made this Supreme True World decline and fall.

The chaotic war shocked many True Worlds and Civilisations in the Boundless Expanse. No one expected that the Heavenslayers Alliance would try to occupy the Rising Dawn Civilisation at this point.

It could be said that the Heavenslayers Alliance took full advantage of the Rising Dawn Civilisation during this turbulent time.

The fact that the Rising Dawn Civilisation fell apart and was eventually devoured by the Heavenslayers Alliance made other Supreme True Worlds feel fearful.

Although the Black Disaster had struck, the Heavenslayers Alliance did not immediately collaborate with other Civilisations and True Worlds to resist those dark beings. Instead, they recklessly expanded and gobbled up others in the name of protecting all living beings.

Now, even a Supreme True World fell into their hands.

Their actions were shameful and outrageous. Others felt helpless though, even when they believe the Heavenslayers Alliance to be the epitome of evil. They even felt that the Heavenslayers Alliance was no different from those dark beings.

In the next few years, the Ephemeral Yin True World and the Radiant Yang True World took the initiative to collaborate with others and form an alliance to go against the Black Disaster.

These two Supreme True Worlds  decided to imitate the Heavenslayers Alliance.

Hence, the Righteous Alliance was formed.
