“Go ask your Ancestors. Oh, wait. I’ve forgotten that you’re not even a cultivator, so you don’t have a right to know all these. Your Parents will never tell you about the Land of the Jing Family.

“Why do you think the Jing Family have been living reclusively over the years? Are they scornful of power? Don’t they care about resources? No. It’s because they’re worried what they’ve done will be exposed and they’ll become the laughing stock of others.”

Jing Xiang was too stunned to speak. He was just a carefree and playful Crown Prince of the Jing Family who did not have the aptitude to become a cultivator. When he suddenly learned of these secrets, he could not digest them in a short time.

After a moment of silence, he could not help but ask. “Early Ancestor, why am I able to hear your voice, then? You said you were the one who left behind the curse. Do you have a way to help me resolve it?”

Upon hearing that, the voice snorted and replied, “Naturally, you can hear my voice because of the curse. I can definitely resolve the curse. However, I’m confined to the boundary of the Land of the Jing Family. I’m no longer complete. The only thing I can do is speak to you when the power of the boundary loosens at noon.

“Therefore, I can’t help resolve your curse now. I can only talk to you when I’m bored. Even though you’re a descendant of those horrible Juniors, you are still my descendant. It is also not your doing so I won’t fault you. I might not be a magnanimous man, but I won’t drag you into this.”

This made Jing Xiang smile helplessly. He was not even a cultivator. According to this Early Ancestor, he did not even have a right to come into contact with the Land of the Jing Family. How was he supposed to look for the place where the Early Ancestor was confined and ask him to help resolve the curse?

At the thought of this, he understood it was not that his Parents did not ask the Ancestors to resolve his curse. It was just that this matter was complicated, so even the Ancestors did not have a solution. After all, it was a terrible secret of the Jing Family. They would not let the other Family members find out about it.

Suddenly, Jing Xiang’s gaze brightened when he thought of something.

Considering his Parents’ temperament, they would not tolerate the fact that their Family members had tried to kill the Early Ancestor.

If he informed his Parents about it, they might have a solution to resolve his curse by then.

After leaving the royal palace of the Jing Kingdom, Jing Xiang came across the two maids who were there to look for him.

“Crown Prince, Princess Xiao’er is back. Lady Ling Yuxian is also here.”

They knew that he had been dejected over the years, so they immediately informed him that Jing Xiao and Ling Yuxian had returned.

Jing Xiang was puzzled as to why the two maids were looking for him when he heard that. He was startled for a moment before coming to his senses. He was elated.

    “Yuxian and Xiao’er are back?”

Thrilled, he rushed towards his home. The two followed behind him and shook their heads with a smile.

When he arrived at Jing Family, Ling Yuxian was getting some rest in the courtyard with her eyes closed.

When she heard the noise, she slightly opened her eyes. Upon learning that Jing Xiang had returned, she closed her eyes again and ignored him.

She was there to look for Jing Xiang’s Parents. Because of what she had said back then, she did not want to come into contact with Jing Xiang.

“We haven’t met for ages, Yuxian…” When Jing Xiang arrived at the courtyard, he instantly caught sight of the alluring woman who was getting some rest with her eyes closed. He could not move his eyes away again.

Compared with the past, Ling Yuxian was even more graceful now. Her skin was like a piece of flawless jade which radiated a glow. She was like a noble and authoritative deity.

Upon hearing that, Ling Yuxian opened her eyes and looked at him before nodding in silence.

Jing Xiang could hardly conceal his surprise and excitement. He did not seem to mind that Ling Yuxian was treating him impassively.

He took the initiative to speak to her and told her what had happened over the years. Then, he asked her how she had been doing and her experiences at the Imperial Celestial Palace.

Ling Yuxian had no choice but to respond to him perfunctorily.

When Jing Xiang finally calmed down, he realised that Ling Yuxian was the only one in the courtyard. His Little Sister, Jing Xiao, was nowhere to be found. He asked curiously, “Where’s Xiao’er?”

Ling Yuxian furrowed her brows and looked out the courtyard. Jing Xiao and Gu Changge had been on a stroll for quite a while, but they had not returned.

    Until…

“I believe you’ll never lie to me, Senior Brother Gu. You must have your reasons for saying so.” Someone was heard speaking from outside the courtyard when Ling Yuxian looked in that direction.

Jing Xiao returned to the courtyard after taking Gu Changge on a stroll.

Nevertheless, she did not believe Gu Changge’s statement which was just as blunt as that of Ling Yuxian. She felt that he had only said so because he was in a predicament.

Gu Changge had no idea how to explain further, so he decided to push the matter aside.

Ling Yuxian scowled when she saw the two of them returning to the courtyard. Not caring what Jing Xiang would make of it, she said dispassionately, “You’d better not make things difficult for Senior Brother Gu at this point, Junior Sister Jing Xiao.”

Only then did Jing Xiang notice the man in white clothes who was just beside Jing Xiao.

He was startled for a moment. When he recalled what Ling Yuxian had said, he frowned with displeasure. He looked at Jing Xiao and asked solemnly, “Who is he, Xiao’er?”

“Older Brother…” Jing Xiao initially intended to refute Ling Yuxian, but when she saw that Jing Xiang had returned, she suppressed her anger. She said, “He’s Senior Brother Gu, a Disciple of the Imperial Celestial Palace as well.”

Gu Changge swept a glance over Jing Xiang as a glint flashed across his gaze. He nodded and said, “Greetings, Brother Jing. I’ve heard a lot about you from Junior Sister Jing Xiao.”

“Oh, you’re a Disciple from the Imperial Celestial Palace. Greetings, Brother Gu.” Jing Xiang put on a milder expression. Although he was displeased with what had happened, he did not flare up in this situation.
