“Oh? Are you talking about my Mother?” Nan Qing picked up her teacup and blew some air at it. Her eyelashes trembled as she pretended to be nonchalant.

“No.” Ling Yuling shook her head.

For some reason, she recalled a certain someone when she looked at Nan Qing. Perhaps it was because the way they spoke was similar. They were always nonchalant, not taking anything seriously.

When Ling Yuling thought of this, she realised she was being ridiculous. How could she associate the two of them?

However, she still studied Nan Qing’s delicate face. Perhaps it was because she had made an association, she felt that Nan Qing indeed looked similar to a certain someone.

“Has your Mother never told you about your Father?” Ling Yuling blurted out.

Upon hearing that, Nan Qing subconsciously put down her teacup and shook her head. “No.”

Ling Yuling nodded, never dwelling on this topic. She carefully kept the notes and was ready to leave.

Before her departure, she gave it some thought and said to Nan Qing, “If we fail this time, it will mean that your speculation might be right. Since the Force hiding in the dark is trying to annihilate the descendants of those our allies, the peace here will likely be shattered soon. You’d better get prepared sooner rather than later.”

Nan Qing dipped her head. There was no emotion on her face. It was as though she did not care about this matter.

After Ling Yuling left, she picked up the teacup again and fiddled with it. Her clear eyes showed that she had fallen into her thoughts.

“Are there really some similarities between us?” Suddenly, a smile played on her lips. Her facial features were already perfect to begin with, and when she smiled, she became even more stunning.

She soon calmed herself down and rose to her feet. Her green clothes and long hair swayed with the wind. Surrounded by a mist, she looked like she would be gone with the wind at any moment.

From the Holy Ancestor Mountain, she looked down at the boundless barren land and saw an extraordinary young man battling against several hideous ancient beasts.

Nearby trees and a peak had been destroyed and turned into dust, which covered a large area.

In the territory of Holy Ancestor Mountain, everyone’s cultivation would be suppressed. Even a Dao Realm expert might be weaker than an average cultivator from the outside world.

The young man could fight several ferocious ancient beasts and still was not at a disadvantage, which showed that he was fairly powerful.

“He was born with the power to go against True Dragons. Unfortunately, his Bloodline of the Pan Clan still has not awakened after such a long time.” Nan Qing looked dispassionately at the young man. She seemed to be muttering to herself.
(Silavin: Pan Clan as in descendants of Pan Gu, the one who separated Heaven and Earth using an axe.)

The sun sank and the moon rose. She stood atop the peak and watched the young man fight those ancient beasts to get some training. He ignored his injury, fearlessly going against them as though unafraid of death.

In this terrifying battle, the young man seemed to have gone mad. He kept wielding his arms and legs without any technique to speak of.

Like an invincible War God, he grew braver and stronger as time passed.

He was full of vitality. All of his pores exuded a dawn light. Although his cultivation was weak, he was as powerful as any Quasi-Immortal Emperor.

These ferocious ancient beasts were soon injured.

In the end, a towering figure seemed to appear behind this young man. The figure seemed able to prop up the sky as he held a massive axe in his hand. An ancient and blurry pool hovered above his head.

This towering figure lightly extended his axe. The void was torn apart, the Spacetime was contorted, and all the Chaos was destroyed.

The light radiating from the axe could annihilate all the substances and beings in the world.

“Kill them!” the young man growled. At that moment, he seemed to have become one with the towering figure behind him. An axe appeared in his hand out of thin air and he madly wielded the weapon.

Blood splattered everywhere and it looked glaring under the icy moonlight.

Those ferocious ancient beasts did not even have a chance to shriek when they were slaughtered. Their hardest skulls split into two. The incisions were neat and they instantly lost their lives.

“It’s the Pool of Creation…” Nan Qing, who was watching everything from the peak, was surprised as she stared fixedly at the young man.

Her breathing was unstable as her eyes brightened. To be precise, she was not looking fervently at the young man but at the ancient pool that hovered above the towering figure.

At that moment, she could hardly conceal her surprise, but she took a deep breath to pull herself together and calm down.

“Tiea, bring Zhu Xuan back to the Holy Ancestor Pavilion and tell Elder Zhu that he’s exhausted from battling against the ferocious beasts. He’ll recover after some time,” she ordered calmly.

    “Yes.”

Ripples spread from the void as a woman who looked like a maidservant appeared and acted respectfully.

Then, she turned into a Divine Light and flew towards the barren land.

After the battle against those ferocious ancient beasts, the young man passed out and collapsed to the ground.

“I’ve finally found the clue about the Pool of Creation after such a long time. The last bit of the Pan Clan’s Bloodline is within him. Without him, I’ll never find where the Pool of Creation is. The Ancestors of the Pan Clan had done everything they could to prevent the Pool of Creation from falling into someone else’s hands.”

Nan Qing pocketed her gaze from the barren land and lightly stepped forward. Then, she disappeared like a wisp of smoke as though she had never been there.

Of all the First-Generation Civilisation Supreme Treasures, they were only aware of the whereabouts of the Mirror of Reincarnation, the Gate of Eternity, and the World Burying Coffin. Now, she had finally found a clue that might lead her to the Pool of Creation.

The next day, Zhu Xuan got up in the Holy Ancestor Pavilion while rubbing his forehead as he was suffering from a headache. The dazzling sunlight filtered through the windows and shone on him, making him squint.

He felt as if all his bones were broken, and every part of his body ached terribly.

“What happened last night? I only remember that I was battling against some ferocious beasts. I hadn’t been able to fight some opponents without holding back my power for a long time. Then, I felt my head aching and I can’t remember anything now. Why am I in the Holy Ancestor Pavilion? Did my grandfather bring me here?” Zhu Xuan muttered under his breath while rubbing the centre of his brows.

He could not remember what had happened the day before.

He only remembered that he was battling against some ferocious beasts in the barren land below the Holy Ancestor Mountain to hone his skills.

What was the outcome of the battle? How did he end up in the Holy Ancestor Pavilion?

“Wait a second. I remember there was a vague figure who instructed me how to fight and taught me some Creation Technique. He also said something to me. Who was he? Ouch!” As Zhu Xuan tried to recall what had happened the day before, he felt a sharp pain in his head as though it was about to explode. He gasped and his face paled.

“You were exhausted last night, so you’d better not move now. Just get some rest. How many times do I have to tell you not to cause trouble? Last night, it was Lady Tiea of the Holy Ancestor Mountain who took you here. Fairy Qing also told me to prepare some herbs for you to recuperate.”

Zhu Xuan caught a whiff of a herbal aroma. At the door was an old man who was not frail chastising him with a bowl of medicine in his hand.

“Grandfather.” When he saw Elder Zhu, he scratched the back of his head in embarrassment. However, when he heard what the older man had said, he appeared pleasantly surprised.

“What did you say, Grandfather? Did Lady Tiea send me here?” He ignored his pain and got up from bed before grabbing Elder Zhu’s arm.

“Well, it was Fairy Qing who told Lady Tiea to send you here. You suddenly went to the barren land at the bottom of the Holy Ancestor Mountain. It was impossible for them not to notice you.” Elder Zhu rolled his eyes.

Zhu Xuan giggled and gulped down the bowl of medicine even though it was still very hot.

When Elder Zhu saw that, he shook his head helplessly. “Fairy Qing has never agreed to take you on as a Disciple. She only gave you some cultivation techniques and let you practise on your own. Then, you started calling her master out of nowhere. Don’t you have any shame?”

Zhu Xuan dismissed it and laughed. “Regardless, my Master cares about me. That’s why she told Lady Tiea to send me here. I intentionally practised a fighting technique at the bottom of the Holy Ancestor Mountain so that my Master could give me some guidance when she was free.”

Elder Zhu glared at him. “Stop spouting nonsense, brat, and don’t even have any unrealistic expectations. Fairy Qing will never be related to you in any way.”

Zhu Xuan was displeased. “I’m not having any unrealistic expectations. I’m just respectful of Fairy Qing who had saved my life before.”

Upon hearing that, Elder Zhu recalled something. Back then, if not for Fairy Qing who had cured Zhu Xuan’s illness and helped him take control of the extraordinary strength he was born with, he would’ve died. Therefore, it was only natural that he revered Fairy Qing.

However, he always claimed to be Fairy Qing’s Disciple, which made Elder Zhu feel awkward.

Although Fairy Qing looked young, she was the Holy Ancestor’s Daughter. She was a Senior among these people.

She had watched the residents of Floating Land grow up.

“When you were a baby back then, you were hunted down by some people. You drifted to somewhere near this land while clad in a bloody cloth. It was Fairy Qing who had discovered you and told me to adopt you. In that case, Fairy Qing has saved your life twice,” Elder Zhu said.

Zhu Xuan was conflicted deep within when he heard this tale again years later.

“I’m aware of that. I’ll find out about my background and get revenge for my parents.”

A hint of resentment flashed across his eyes.

Although the incident had happened a long time ago, the images of that day would still spring into his mind from time to time.

It was a night with a full moon. Blood had dyed the entire land red. The chilly breeze carried with it a metallic tang.

Under the moonlight, a dispassionate figure stood atop a peak and watched calmly as the incident happened.

Many figures who were surrounded by black fog looked like they were from hell. They descended from the void and mercilessly slaughtered all living beings with their weapons.

Regardless of how his relatives resisted, they were powerless against those Demons from Hell.

All of them lost their lives in the end.

The wind breezed through the land, causing fire to spread across villages, fields, palaces, and mountains. All of these places were set aflame.

The person’s hair swayed with the wind. Firelight illuminated his vague face. His impassive gaze looked like he was watching some worms struggling at his feet.

Zhu Xuan would never forget those images.

He knew that the man was the culprit who slaughtered his relatives, even though he did not know who the man was.

Regardless, he firmly believed that he would find him and get revenge for his parents one day.

That was the reason he had been working hard to improve his combat skills over the years.

To cultivators, a few days passed in the blink of an eye.

In the territories of the Imperial Celestial Palace, domain-breaking ancient battleships broke through the universes and arrived from different worlds while surrounded by Chaos Energy.

Other than that, rays of light, celestial beasts, and flying boats which carried their powerful owners flew across the Starry Sky and arrived.

The announcement that the Founder of the Imperial Celestial Palace was about to make an appearance shocked everyone in the Primary Hope Civilisation.

All the famous forces and Kingdoms in the Primary Hope Civilisation immediately sent some important figures to that place to show some respect to the Imperial Celestial Palace.
