Ling Yuling was unwilling to reveal the existence of Nan Qing. After all, Nan Qing was a descendant of a Great Sage. She was being hunted down by the remnants of the Black Disaster over the years. In short, she has, and current was in a terrible situation.

Her peaceful life had been disrupted when Ling Yuling headed to the Chaotic Spacetime Sea previously. If her existence was exposed, it would cause her even more trouble.

“The Daughter of your deceased friend? What’s the name of your old friend?” Gu Changge unknowingly frowned. When Ling Yuling brought up this matter, he felt karma coming to bite him.

When he tried to look into the truth behind the karmic connection, a fog suddenly appeared and concealed everything.

This reminded him of the time when he tried to make a deduction on the Method to Transcendence in the Azure Sky Realm. Both experiences were similar.

The Method to Transcendence should not have existed in the Boundless Expanse in the first place. Now, it could even form a fog to disrupt his deduction.

He felt that things were getting more interesting.

Naturally, he could cast the fog away and look into the truth, but considering that it might alert the mastermind who had left such pieces like this behind, he decided against it.

“Her name is Nan Zun. She was a good friend of mine. We had collaborated to go against Heaven’s Proxy Group and finally destroy the Black Disaster,” Ling Yuling said gently. There was a sense of longing behind her gaze.

She still remembered the graceful, proud, and beautiful woman. Nan Zun was born with natural confidence and great power. It seemed that no obstacle in the world could stop her. She had plenty of followers and suitors. She was also revered among the allies.

“Nan Zun?” Gu Changge muttered and fell into his thoughts. Back then, there were indeed several famous leaders of the alliance who went against Heaven’s Proxy Group. They represented the five directions of Heaven and Earth, which were the east, south, west, north, and centre.

However, he never bothered to find out who those people were.

The Nan Zun that Ling Yuling had brought up was probably one of them.

“She’s a kind-hearted young woman, so I don’t want to drag her into this. Back then, I relied on Nan Zun’s token and found her on a place called ‘Floating Land’ in the Chaotic Spacetime Sea. She had no intention of going against the Heavenslayers Alliance. When she learned that I intended to establish the Primary Hope Covenant, she even tried to dissuade me.” Ling Yuling explained.

At this point, she just hoped that Gu Changge would not hurt Nan Qing and the people of the Floating Land.

[The descendants of the Great Sages have finally shown up. I can take the second step of my plan now.] Gu Changge looked into the distance with his deep gaze. He hardly cared about what Ling Yuling had said.

Be it the residents of the Floating Land or the Daughter of her old friend, Nan Zun, they were insignificant and were merely pieces that had been moved into his plans.

Now, the Heavenslayers Alliance had gained a footing in the Primary Hope Civilisation. They were also famous across the Boundless Expanse. Nevertheless, what they had achieved was far from enough.

On the same day, in the headquarters of Heavenslayers Alliance, many beings watched as ancient battleships rose into the air. Chaos Energy surged, the sounds of drums were deafening, and the flags swayed with the wind. Those battleships broke through the universe and disappeared into teleportation portals.

Many fully-armoured soldiers stood on the decks of the ancient battleships. There didn’t seem to be an end. The aura they exuded was so horrifying that it was as though they had just gotten out of a bloody battle.

Upon receiving the order, Dao Realm experts of the Heavenslayers Alliance left their Supreme Caves and palaces. They traversed across universes and entered the teleportation portals along with the army.

These scenes were happening in different places in the Primary Hope Civilisation. Countless people were left terrified.

Where were they going? Which Civilisation were they going to invade next? Would there be endless killings again?

Then, they watched as the army of the Heavenslayers Alliance headed to the territory where the Imperial Celestial Palace was located. Portals opened up and penetrated that territory.

Countless Forces were flabbergasted, worried that the flames of war would impact them.

No one knew why the army of the Heavenslayers Alliance suddenly arrived at the Imperial Celestial Palace.

Did those from the Imperial Celestial Palace offend the Heavenslayers Alliance Leader, which was why he wanted to settle the score with them?

In the depths of the Imperial Celestial Palace, many Elders and Ancestors found it inconceivable as well. They were anxious.

Although the Imperial Celestial Palace had already become part of the Heavenslayers Alliance, it was only natural that they were astonished to see the army of the Heavenslayers Alliance storming into their territory.

“The Alliance Leader has detected an anomaly in the Chaotic Spacetime Sea of the Imperial Celestial Palace. The culprit who had ruined the Primary Hope Covenant is hiding there. As such, he has told us to come over and capture the culprit. There’s no need to worry, Fellow Cultivators.”

Chu Heng stepped forward and explained the matter to them. He was clad in armour and exuded a terrifying aura. His solemn face was full of iciness and murderous intent.

The Elders and Ancestors of the Imperial Celestial Palace were flabbergasted upon hearing that. The location in the depths of the Imperial Celestial Palace was special. It was a Forbidden Area. Usually, only the Palace Master and a small number of people could enter.

The true experts of the Imperial Celestial Palace were in seclusion there as well. Since it was an important area, most Elders did not even have a right to step foot into this place.

If they let the army of the Heavenslayers Alliance enter, it was like opening up their defences and showing everyone their full might.

The Elders were displeased, but they dare not protest when facing such pressure.

“Since it’s the order of the Alliance Leader, we’ll surely cooperate with you. However, the Chaotic Spacetime Sea is special as it’s directly connected to the Boundless Expanse. There’s a Restriction left behind by the Founder. If it’s accidentally destroyed, it might cause the terrifying living beings from the Chaotic Spacetime Sea to enter the Primary Hope Civilisation.”

In the end, it was the Palace Master, Ling Qiuchang, who spoke after some deliberation. After agreeing to their request, he gave them a heads-up to prevent any accidents.

After all, the Imperial Celestial Palace could not withstand another upheaval.

“We’re only here to capture the culprit, so we won’t ruin the Restriction left behind by your Founder. You don’t have to worry about it.”

Chu Heng spoke curtly and cupped his fists. Then, he led the ancient battleships to enter the depths of the Imperial Celestial Palace as they were surrounded by the Mist of Chaos.

That place was illuminated by lights. The World Principles and cosmic fragments clashed as Chaos Energy fluctuated wildly.

The army of the Heavenslayers Alliance quickly passed through the thick fog and arrived at the Chaotic Spacetime Sea.

A chaotic aura filled every part of the void. The cosmic fragments and Spacetime Rifts were compressed all the time. It was all they could see.

Even with Dao Realm experts opening up a path at the front, it was still difficult for all the ancient battleships to move forward. They could not shatter the Spacetime here as easily as they could in the outside world.

The Dao Storm constantly devastated the Chaotic Spacetime Sea, attacking all living beings there. All substances would be turned into nothingness.

“Something is off about the Chaotic Spacetime Sea. There’s a familiar aura. Are the people from the Heaven Legion here as well?” Old Man Sai Ya, who was seated on the deck of the ancient battleship, suddenly opened his eyes.

His gaze was deep. Behind his eyes were bolts of red lightning as thick as mountains which continuously struck. All sorts of horrifying scenes intertwined with one another. It seemed that he was trying to see through the Chaotic Spacetime Sea.

However, this place was too chaotic. Even for an unfathomable expert like him, who was even stronger than the average Ancestral Dao Realm expert, couldn’t see through it. All sorts of broken Principles flew around. It was a bottomless deep sea which was filled with darkness.

A myriad of expressions came over him. If the people from the Heaven Legion were indeed here, things would become thorny.

    ….

Meanwhile, in the other area of the Chaotic Spacetime Sea, tides of Spacetime surged and the Principles came apart. Broken limbs of ancient beings floated around. From afar, they looked like islands on a deep ocean.

A White Hou which exuded a sacred aura stood on an island. Its hooves were covered in snow and it was surrounded by clouds.

“I’m surprised that some people have come.”

On a White Hou sat a slender figure who was wearing a hat. Under her sleeves, she was holding a green bamboo pole. On the other end of the pole was a golden fishing line. The person was casually fishing in this Chaotic Spacetime Sea.

(Silavin: Hou is a beast that is part Dragon part Dog. Dragon’s head, Dog body.)

Before the surrounding chaotic waves could reach this person, they would dissipate.

In the distance, there was a gourd that was as dark as ink. It was massive and didn’t radiate any light. It was as though all the light in the world would be absorbed into it.

The dark gourd was floating in this Chaotic Spacetime Sea and its mouth spurted some horrifying black fog which covered a large area.

All sorts of strange substances emerged from the black fog. They filled every part of the Spacetime Rift.

In the black fog, all kinds of contorted figures reformed and entered this Spacetime like they were smoke. They soon disappeared.

Several intimidating figures also stood in the thick black fog. They did not have clearly defined faces. Only their eyes, mouths, and noses were shown. They stood respectfully there as though waiting for something.

“Well, things are getting more interesting. We’ve been watching a good show for a long time. Isn’t it about time we make a move, Ah Li?” The White Hou let out a strange laugh. With its round eyes, it looked at the Chaotic Spacetime Sea in the distance. It was able to hear the deafening sounds of ancient battleships shattering the cosmic fragments.

“There’s no need to hurry. It’s not the right time yet. We’ve been waiting for days, so it’s alright to wait for a little longer. If you ruin that guy’s plan, he won’t let you off, and I can’t save you either.” The person named Ah Li replied impassively. She was still holding the bamboo pole, trying to get something out of the Chaotic Spacetime Sea.

Upon hearing that, the White Hou shuddered. Its eyes were full of fear. The creature cringed, not daring to speak any further.

“Why are there so many people in the Chaotic Spacetime Sea all of a sudden? What’s more, their destination is the same as ours.” Ah Li said meditatively while lifting her head. When she detected something, she raised her hand and retracted the fishing line which suddenly tightened.

At the same time, the initially silent sea suddenly transformed. Waves surged as the black clouds descended as though trying to shatter Heaven and Earth. A horrifying living being full of thorns and scales was pulled out from the Chaotic Spacetime Sea by her.

The living being was as massive as a mountain. Its eyes were bloodshot and violent. It tried to get rid of the fishing line which seemed so fragile. However, a tremendous force descended and rendered it immovable.

At the same time, the White Hou under Ah Li seemed excited. It charged forward and opened its big mouth which seemed to have turned into a black hole.

Its mouth was full of stinky and corrosive acidic liquid. It devoured the living being and soon gulped it down.

“I haven’t tasted the flesh for a long time. Ah Li, when are you going to treat me to a feast? I know of several decent Civilisations. There’s also a rotten Kingdom.” The creature sneered.

“Keep quiet. Can’t you see I’m fishing?” Ah Li impatiently landed a slap on its head upon hearing its words so that the creature would shut up.

“The Eight Legions have power that must not be underestimated. It seems that I have to change my mind and make good use of them. Although I’m surprised that the remnants of Heaven’s Proxy Group have survived, it is good news for me.”

Meanwhile, Gu Changge in the Heavenslayers Alliance had told everyone to leave. He appeared in the depths of an ancient palace.

He made up his mind after some consideration.

In his initial plan, he had intended to let the Heavenslayers Alliance keep growing like a rolling snowball so that they could control the situation and gnaw at the Boundless Expanse.

He had even initiated the Eternal Great Sacrifice to come at an earlier date. In short, an even more disastrous calamity will fall on all within the Boundless Expanse, a calamity even worse than the Great Purge, and it would come sooner than expected.

The current situation in the Boundless Expanse was too peaceful. Although some Civilisations and True Worlds were wary of the Heavenslayers Alliance’s existence, it could not change the situation much.

Therefore, he had to attract an external force, one great enough to unnerve the entire Boundless Expanse to move. That force was the Eternal Great Sacrifice.

Only by making the Eternal Great Sacrifice come earlier could he force many Civilisations and True World to submit to the Heavenslayers Alliance.

There were some accidents, though. For example, the sudden appearance of the Method to Transcendence and another Force that had a different plan for the Boundless Expanse.

That made Gu Changge realise that something unexpected had happened in the Land of Truth.

Perhaps, his actions had aroused the suspicions and speculation of some people.

Therefore, he had to quickly make the situation worsen instead of letting the Heavenslayers Alliance grow at its own pace, and take advantage of the crisis.

“Since the Eight Legions are still around, I suppose you’re also alive, Mu Yue…” Gu Changge closed his eyes as his consciousness turned into a light and penetrated the entire Boundless Expanse. It was his first time using his identity as the Master of the Heaven’s Proxy Group to detect the presence of someone since he came to the Boundless Expanse.

In an instant, countless bright lights rose from the dark and boundless Boundless Expanse. It was the purest Power of Faith.

Even after so many years, the Master of Heaven’s Proxy Group still had an incalculable number of fervent followers in billions of Spacetimes and universes.
