“Mei Ler, is there something you need?”

A fragrant breeze swept towards him. Qin Yichen’s gaze shifted upward, catching sight of a petite figure descending leisurely from above.

This diminutive silhouette revealed itself to be a beauty. Her features were concealed beneath a white veil, yet the tantalising curves visible beneath the fabric alone were enough to make one’s breathing grow heavier.

This woman belonged to the Charming Fox Race.

The Charming Fox Race, throughout the Myriad Races Territory, they were renowned for their allure. The women of this Race were born with naturally seductive constitutions, pursued by countless Races yet rarely obtained.

Even within this great tree of the Elf Race that specialised in receiving foreign visitors, this Mei Ler possessed considerable fame.

This stemmed not merely from her innate seductive constitution, but more importantly from the fact that she possessed something the Elf Race required, greatly elevating her status.

However, Mei Ler seemed somewhat antagonistic towards Qin Yichen.

All of this appeared to originate from Little Ling’er’s inadvertent revelation that Avril would come to see them.

“It’s nothing much. This humble woman is merely curious. Why hasn’t the Princess summoned an outstanding person like Young Master Qin yet? Could it be that Young Master Qin has fallen from favour?” Mei Ler laughed, her tone carrying distinct mockery.

Wherever she went, Mei Ler remained the centre of attention, the object of countless gazes. Even within the Elf Forest, this was no exception.

Whether encountering Elves or merchants from various Races, which among them did not look upon her with eyes filled with possessive desire, their gazes gleaming, practically drooling?

Yet this Qin Yichen gave her a sense of frustration. He had never, like other merchants or Elves, found various excuses to visit her door. In fact, he seemed never to have looked at her properly at all!

This disregard naturally left Mei Ler extremely displeased.

Moreover, rumours circulated that Qin Yichen awaited an audience with the Princess of the Elf Race!

Princess of the Elf Race, what sort of status was that?

Throughout the entire Elf Race, those with the Royal Bloodlines numbered fewer than one hundred. Those qualified to receive the title of Princess could be counted on one’s fingers.

Even with Mei Ler’s beauty and methods, she had never contacted any Elf from the Royal Family. This naturally stole considerable attention from her.

Therefore, looking at Qin Yichen, Mei Ler felt as though he were a thorn in her eye and flesh.

“Miss Mei Ler must be joking. If there’s nothing else, please feel free to leave.”

The corner of Qin Yichen’s eye glanced at Mei Ler as he spoke indifferently.

Though the latter possessed a naturally seductive constitution, and her partially visible devastatingly beautiful features made one’s heart itch, these held little temptation for Qin Yichen.

Among the beauties by his side, which one’s appearance would fall short of Mei Ler’s?

Moreover, their personalities were each gentle and considerate. In Qin Yichen’s heart, Mei Ler naturally fell far short.

However, Qin Yichen seemed unaware that precisely this indifferent attitude stimulated Mei Ler. Indeed, beneath his casual words, Mei Ler’s delicate frame trembled slightly, her proud peaks quivering faintly.

“Heh, Young Master Qin truly puts on grand airs. This humble Sister seeks friendship, yet you treat me so harshly.” Mei Ler’s pretty face turned cold as she snorted.

As her voice fell, numerous peculiar gazes immediately shot over from the surroundings, each tinged with anger, glaring fiercely at Qin Yichen.

Were it not for the fact that this was the Elf Race’s territory where they could not take action, someone would likely have already stepped forward to teach this blind fool a lesson and curry favour with Mei Ler.

Qin Yichen frowned. He did not wish to create enemies without cause, especially here. Every merchant qualified to reside in this place represented a formidable Force, even an entire Race.

The Human Race’s situation was still precarious. If they wished to venture outside of their territory, they needed to befriend countless Races. Making enemies would be unwise.

“Miss Mei Ler, I still have matters to attend to. I’ll take my leave first.”

Qin Yichen smiled wryly, shaking his head as he prepared to depart.

“Take your leave? Hmph, I expect you’ll be driven from the Elf Forest tomorrow!” Mei Ler snorted coldly.

Hearing this, Qin Yichen’s departing form halted. He turned back to ask, “What do you mean by that?”

Though Mei Ler was somewhat wilful, Qin Yichen did not take offence to it. Moreover, with Mei Ler’s influence, she absolutely could not have him expelled from the Elf Forest simply because she found him displeasing.

Within the Elf Race’s territory, only the Elves possessed such authority!

He had nearly risked his life to finally enter the Elf Race. If he were expelled without understanding why, that would truly be frustrating.

Most critically, since arriving at the Elf Race, Little Ling’er seemed somewhat abnormal. This left Qin Yichen extremely anxious.

Even now, not a single piece of news has come from Avril. Qin Yichen knew that hoping for her assistance was not promising.

“Is Young Master Qin feigning ignorance, or do you truly not understand?” Mei Ler laughed mockingly, her swaying seductive curves combined with that naturally enchanting voice causing countless male hearts to heat up.

“Tomorrow is the annual Merchandise Fair. Those without items the Elf Race needs will be expelled from the Elf Forest.”

Seeing Qin Yichen’s expression grow somewhat grave, Mei Ler’s heart softened inexplicably as she continued, “Surely you don’t believe the Elf Race would kindly let a completely useless person reside here?”

Hearing these words, Qin Yichen’s expression darkened slightly.

It appeared he had been taken for a merchant.

However, Mei Ler spoke the truth.

After all, even numerous powerful experts had to pay considerable prices to reside within the Elf Forest, let alone ordinary merchants.

Without items that interested the Elf Race, they would likely be expelled from the Elf Forest as stated.

“The Merchandise Fair is about to begin. Since we’re headed the same way, why don’t we go together?”

“Hehe, Miss Mei Ler, why bother with someone who speaks nonsense? Let’s go together.”

“Indeed. Actually, I’m curious what Miss Mei Ler will present this time. You’ve already won the Merchandise Fair championship for two consecutive years. If you take it again this year, your Charming Fox Race will qualify to establish an embassy within the Elf Race.”

As Mei Ler spoke, numerous merchants from various Races happened to pass by. Upon seeing Mei Ler, their eyes burst forth with lustful gleams as they voiced flattering words.
