Ling Yuling was the first to step into the passageway. Then, a powerful force engulfed Zhu Xuan and the others and brought them into it as well.

Zhu Xuan was not sure if it was just him being overly sensitive, but he felt that Ah Li and her White Hou were no longer calm. At this moment, they seemed nervous.

Soon enough, Spacetime blurred. When they reappeared, they were already on a plain where there was a lot of greenery and sunlight.

The mountain range was massive, the trees were ancient, and the flowers were beautiful. The place was covered in a light and seemed so tranquil.

In the distance, there was an emerald lake. Some lovely celestial deer were drinking water from the lake. Sometimes, they would lift their heads and glance at them. They were not at all afraid of any strangers that visited. The breeze carried with it the smell of grass. Everything was harmonious and natural.

They also caught a whiff of the fragrance of peach blossoms. Their gazes fell upon a long stretch of pinkness. It was a massive garden of peach blossoms. The flowers had fully bloomed and every one of them was exquisite. Their petals drifted with the wind.

“This is where the Alliance Leader lives.”

They came to their senses upon hearing Ling Yuling’s voice. If they had never seen it with their eyes, they wouldn’t have believed that the Heavenslayers Alliance Leader would live in such a paradise.

Upon passing through the peach blossom trees, they saw a set of serene and ancient courtyards. The area was dotted with bamboo, pine trees, and cypresses. It was a lovely place.

In one of the courtyards, a young man was casually seated on a bamboo chair with his legs crossed. It seemed that he was preparing tea as he propped up his chin with his hand. All of his clothes were white, and his hair hung loose on his shoulders. He appeared languid.

“You’re back.” When Gu Changge heard the noise, he lifted his gaze and looked out the courtyard. There was a gentle smile on his face.

“I’ve brought them here.” Ling Yuling smiled and went over.

Zhu Xuan and the others were rooted to the spot. They could not associate this young man who seemed to have stepped out of a painting with the Heavenslayers Alliance Leader they had imagined.

In their opinion, the Heavenslayers Alliance Leader was supposed to be a burly, authoritative, and serious person. Everything he said had to be taken seriously and everything he did would give off immense pressure.

However, the man in white clothes before their eyes was too young and handsome. He looked like a celestial being who had stepped out of a painting, ever elegant and gentle. If they saw him somewhere else, they would think that he was a Prince.

“You’ve come at the right time. The water is boiling.” Gu Changge smiled and swept a glance over Zhu Xuan and the others.

They stood anxiously outside the courtyard. Although Gu Changge had only swept a glance over them, they felt he as if all their secrets have been read by him.

    This made them nervous.

Even though the Heavenslayers Alliance Leader’s appearance surprised them, he was a powerful being who could easily destroy the passageway that those dark beings used to receive their Priest. His power was inscrutable. Therefore, they were not in any place to figure out what was on his mind. No, they dare not even hypothesize what was on his mind.

“Come on in. You don’t have to stand outside the courtyard. Yuling has told me everything about the Floating Land.” Gu Changge straightened up on his bamboo chair and waved his hand, motioning for Zhu Xuan and the others to come over.

Upon seeing his gentle smile, Zhu Xuan and the others felt less nervous. At the same time, Ling Yuling went to take some cups and poured tea for them.

All six Major Families of the Floating Land had sent some people to follow Zhu Xuan. They were all tensed and willingly waited outside the courtyard.

“Greetings, Alliance Leader.” Zhu Xuan was at the front. He took a deep breath to calm himself down so as not to embarrass himself. Then, he stood in front of Gu Changge and saluted him.

Behind him were Ah Li and the others. They also saluted Gu Changge and waited there with lowered heads.

They had tagged along mainly to plead with Gu Changge to save Zhu Xuan’s Grandfather. They were willing to pay any price.

The people of the Floating Land were hopeful. Elder Zhu had been responsible for guarding the Holy Ancestor Pavilion. In the last moments of his life, he was still doing his best to fend off the dark beings.

They did not wish to see him meet his end, corrupted by the Aura of Darkness and turning into a dark being.

“Yuling has told me about your situation. I indeed can help you expel the Aura of Darkness from your Grandfather’s body…” Gu Changge took the teacup from Ling Yuling and slowly sipped it before turning to look at Zhu Xuan.

Upon hearing that, Zhu Xuan was elated. The people of the Floating Land were thrilled and jovial as well.

Below the bamboo hat, Ah Li’s gaze fell upon Gu Changge. She stared fixedly at him as though trying to see through him. However, her usually mighty perception was suddenly rendered completely useless. Whether she opened or closed her eyes, she felt like the Heavenslayers Alliance Leader before her did not exist.

What was seated there was a mass of nothingness or boundless darkness or an endless ocean. The feeling made her sweat profusely. Her hands and legs turned cold.

She even felt that the Heavenslayers Alliance Leader had been watching her and studying her. It seemed as if he had already seen through her.

“Alliance Leader, as long as you’re willing to save my Grandfather, I’m willing to pay any price,” Zhu Xuan said agitatedly.

Ah Li snapped back to reality upon hearing his words. She lifted her gaze and saw that Zhu Xuan was ready to kneel. Suddenly, an invisible force appeared and stopped him from doing that.

“It’s not so difficult to save your Grandfather, and I don’t need you to pay any price. After all, Yuling has already pleaded with me. There’s no way I’ll turn her down.” Gu Changge smiled and waved his hand, motioning for Zhu Xuan to straighten up.

Upon hearing that, Zhu Xuan and the others were startled for a moment. Then, they glanced at Ling Yuling with gratitude.

They could tell that Ling Yuling and the Heavenslayers Alliance Leader were close. That was the reason she could enter this place and see the Heavenslayers Alliance Leader as she pleased.

Ling Yuling’s face blushed slightly. Then, she stole a glance at Gu Changge and said, “The Alliance Leader is just a kind-hearted man. Even if I did not plead him, he would still extend his hand to give aid.”

In fact, she never pleaded with Gu Changge to save Zhu Xuan’s Grandfather. However, he had still said such a thing. Was he trying to make Zhu Xuan and the others grateful to her? Or, did he have some other intention?

Gu Changge smiled and sipped his tea without speaking further.

Upon seeing that, the people of the Floating Land were relieved. They were thrilled and cheerful while feeling grateful to Gu Changge and Ling Yuling.

Zhu Xuan was excited and grateful as well. Before coming to this place, he had thought about the kind of price he had to pay. Much to his surprise, things went smoothly and he did not need to sacrifice anything.

*Whoosh!* Then, a light shot forward. Zhu Xuan released his half-conscious Grandfather from his storage space. Elder Zhu was covered in black mist.

He had been in this half-conscious state since he was corrupted by the Aura of Darkness. Now, only his Knowledge Sea was unaffected.

“The technique used for protecting his Knowledge Sea is praiseworthy. It has bought him another half a year’s time at the very least.” Gu Changge examined Elder Zhu and nodded in acknowledgement.

Upon hearing that, Zhu Xuan and the others could not help but feel sorrowful. They thought of Fairy Qing, who had sacrificed herself to save their lives.

The moment Gu Changge finished speaking, he pointed a finger at the centre of Elder Zhu’s brows. Then, a tiny black hole was formed.

A powerful suction was felt. It was as though Spacetime was about to collapse. Wisps of black mist contorted and billowed from all of Elder Zhu’s pores like a fog. They quickly streamed towards the tiny black hole and were sucked away.

“What?” All of them were astounded by this inconceivable sight. Their eyes widened in disbelief.

The Aura of Darkness that everyone was so afraid of was powerless against the Heavenslayers Alliance Leader. It was like an ordinary mist that could be sucked away at any moment.

“When we were in the Floating Land, Fairy Qing told us that the Holy Ancestor had tried many methods to expel the Aura of Darkness clinging onto her allies. But, she had never succeeded, not even once. The true origins of this darkness might have something to do with the legendary Land of Truth. Ordinary methods are useless. Instead, the harder you try to get rid of it, it’ll spread even more quickly. Qi, Divine Sense, Soul, Faith, or even an thought might become a medium for it to proliferate. But now…”

Shangguan Qing, the person in charge of the Shangguan Family, muttered incredulously as her eyes widened in disbelief.

This was inconceivable. If word got out, it would cause a commotion.

As the Aura of Darkness was sucked out of Elder Zhu’s body, his face was no longer dark. His health had been restored.

Zhu Xuan could not help but tremble with excitement. He grasped his Grandfather’s hands as his eyes reddened.

“I’ll forever be grateful for what you’ve done for us, Alliance Leader.” He fell to his knees in front of Gu Changge and spoke in a choky voice.

The other residents of the Floating Land knelt and kept thanking Gu Changge as well.

Ah Li was initially in a dazed state. She still could not recover from the shock of seeing how Gu Changge saved Elder Zhu. But now, she had no choice but to kneel along with the people of the Floating Land. Otherwise, she would appear too conspicuous.

[How is this possible!?] It was impossible to describe her shock with words. [How could it be expelled so easily!? Just who is this Heavenslayers Alliance Leader? Why did he possess such incredible power?]

“I’ve gotten rid of the Aura of Darkness within him. He’ll recover after some rest.” Gu Changge shook his head and flicked his fingers, after which the dark hole that had absorbed the Aura of Darkness disappeared. It was as though it had never existed.

    “That’s great…”

    “Many thanks, Alliance Leader.”

Zhu Xuan could not describe how grateful he was when he saw that his Grandfather was so much healthier now.

This favour was too precious to him. His Grandfather was truly the most important person to him. So, from now on, whatever the Heavenslayers Alliance Leader wanted him to do, he would not hesitate to do it for him.

“There’s no need to thank me. I’ve decided to help you for a reason. Perhaps you’ll be able to help me in the near future.” Gu Changge waved his hand and smiled. Then, he lifted his hand to motion for all of them to get to their feet.

Zhu Xuan was startled upon hearing that he might be able to help the Heavenslayers Alliance Leader in the near future. He put on a helpless smile, feeling that the other party had only wanted to placate him.

He knew himself fully well. Although he could go against Quasi-Immortal Emperors, he was too insignificant compared to the Heavenslayers Alliance Leader. As such, how was he supposed to help Gu Changge?

The people of the Floating Land were shocked and puzzled by what he had said as well.

“The Black Disaster has returned. The entire Boundless Expanse will have to face this calamity. You are a Descendant of the Pan Clan, so you are the only hope to find the Pool of Creation. Given your current strength, you’re indeed unable to change anything. But, who can say for sure what will happen in the near future?” Gu Changge smiled faintly and swept a glance over the people of the Floating Land. “All of you must have figured out the reason those dark beings have come to attack. As Descendants of the Great Sages, you all must know of the six First-Generation Civilisation Supreme Treasures. Coincidentally, more First-Generation Civilisation Supreme Treasures have shown up…”

Ling Yuling was astounded upon hearing that. She couldn’t help but look at Zhu Xuan. [He’s a Descendant of the Pan Clan? The Middle Monarch, the Southern Revered One, the Eastern King, the Western Saintess, and the Northern Emperor. Zhu Xuan is a descendant of the Eastern King?]

Naturally, she knew the person who was respectfully called the Eastern King. That person was none other than the Patriarch of the Pan Clan. Needless to say, he was also the leader of the Pan Clan. In the past, the Pan Clan was called the Divine Clan of Creation. Their powers were unrivalled.

Moreover, the clues to the Pool of Creation had fallen into Zhu Xuan’s hands. Did that mean that the Pan Clan had been destroyed?

Ling Yuling was flabbergasted. What was more, Gu Changge already knew all of this. He was also aware of Zhu Xuan’s background.

It was no wonder he would agree to save Zhu Xuan’s Grandfather.

Zhu Xuan and the others were also astonished upon hearing his words. They then fell silent.

Without needing Gu Changge to point it out for them, they knew how turbulent the situation in the Boundless Expanse had become.

Everyone was anxious. Some Civilisations and Kingdoms had fallen into a state of despair.

Certainly, what shocked them the most was that Gu Changge could see through Zhu Xuan’s background. He also knew that Zhu Xuan held the clues that led to the Pool of Creation.

One had to know that they had never told anyone else about it. Even Ling Yuling was not aware of it.

Naturally, Gu Changge could see how perplexed they were. He smiled nonchalantly and said, “There’s no need for you to be puzzled. I can easily find out whatever I want to know. All this is not a secret to the Gate of Eternity, which is one of the six First-Generation Civilisation Supreme Treasures, which is already in my hands.

“The Mirror of Reincarnation is in the Primary Hope Saintess’ possession. The World Burying Coffin is in the hands of those dark beings. There’s no doubt those dark beings will try to snatch the Mirror of Reincarnation. Then, they’ll look for clues that lead to the Pool of Creation, the Disc of Crossing, and the remaining First-Generation Civilisation Supreme Treasure.

“If there’s a chance, those dark beings will try to destroy those First-Generation Civilisation Supreme Treasures. They cannot allow those items to exist. If different Civilisations and Kingdoms in the Boundless Expanse still refuse to collaborate, all beings will run out of time. The reappearance of the Black Disaster is nothing compared to the upcoming Great Purge.”

At the mention of this, Gu Changge sighed. His gaze darkened as though he could envision the tragedies in the future.

    “The Great Purge?”

“Has the situation become so perilous?”

Zhu Xuan and the others were shaken to their core. They could feel some suffocating pressure just by hearing Gu Changge’s words.

It was as though they could already see that, in the near future, the entire Boundless Expanse would be engulfed in darkness. Blood and fire would spurt out of the void. Countless dark beings would come to attack. Their worlds would be turned upside down, universes would fall apart, and all semblance of order would be destroyed.

Ling Yuling was astonished as well. She turned to look at Gu Changge with a frown. She doubt he was joking. It seemed that he had truly taken a glimpse of the future.

“Anyway, there’s no need to worry. Before that day comes, I can fight for a period of peace for everyone.” Gu Changge smiled faintly, shattering the atmosphere that had suddenly turned solemn.

Zhu Xuan and the others came to their senses. They still felt their hearts growing heavy. During this turbulent time, no one could steer clear of the calamity and stay safe.

They admired Gu Changge upon hearing his words, for he truly cared for all beings in the Boundless Expanse.

“Now, our most important task is to find the Pool of Creation before those dark beings. We cannot let them destroy any of the First-Generation Civilisation Supreme Treasures. In the past, the Holy Ancestor and the other Great Sages had used the six Civilisation Supreme Treasures and paid a huge price to seal off their Master. If any of the six First-Generation Civilisation Supreme Treasure got destroyed, all of us in the Boundless Expanse would no longer have any hope of opposing them. I’m worried. Those dark beings seemed to be preparing for the Grand Ceremony to resurrect their Master.” Shangguan Qing said solemnly.

Gu Changge nodded and glanced at Zhu Xuan. “You are the only one able to lead us to the Pool of Creation. I’ll let you handle the task of finding the Pool of Creation before those dark beings. I can’t leave the Primary Hope Civilisation for now.”
