However, Qin Yichen did not let Yun Jun’s earlier attitude toward him trouble him in the slightest.

After all, this was the Myriad Beasts War Domain. Within this place, one who lacked even that basic sense of caution likely would not even know how they had died.

What truly caught Qin Yichen’s attention was the feeling Yun Jun gave him.

That feeling was extraordinarily dangerous. Even Jin Mi, at his prime, had never given Qin Yichen a sense of danger quite like this.

It was likely that this young woman was not only breathtaking in appearance, but her strength, most of all, was the truly frightening thing.

“How interesting…” A smile tugged at the corner of Qin Yichen’s mouth. He had not expected that mere moments after entering the Myriad Beasts War Domain, he would encounter a cultivator of this calibre. It seemed the Myriad Beasts War Domain was not to be taken lightly.

After all, among the Myriad Races, exceptional geniuses were innumerable.

Though Qin Yichen had witnessed no small number of brilliant talents during Mo Sheng’s trial, those were no more than the tip of the iceberg when it came to the powerful beings of the Myriad Races.

Within the Myriad Beasts War Domain, there were no restrictions on age whatsoever, and many powerful beings, groomed as the future pillars of their respective Races, would enter this place to temper themselves.

The Myriad Beasts War Domain was truly where heroes of every kind converged!

Only those who had endured the brutal baptism of the Myriad Beasts War Domain, and emerged from it, were truly deserving of the title of powerful expert!

“Myriad Beasts War Domain, let me see just how brutal you truly are.” The corner of Qin Yichen’s mouth curved into an arc of excitement as his figure shot forward into the distance at great speed.

In a place like this, he could finally let himself loose. So long as he did not expose his identity as a member of the Human Race, he had little need to hold back.

    …

A hundred kilometres from where Qin Yichen stood, three graceful silhouettes soared through the air.

“Yun Lan, you are saying that he defeated three Late Stage Martial Ancestor Realm Demonic Beasts in only three blows?”

At the very centre of the three silhouettes was none other than the frosty Yun Jun. Having listened to the account given by the two women, she knitted her brows slightly and could not help but seek confirmation.

“Yes, and I could sense that he was not even using his full strength.”

Yun Lan gave a nod, recalling the effortless, entirely at-ease manner Qin Yichen had displayed while facing three Late Stage Martial Ancestor Realm Demonic Beasts, and her expression became a few shades more grave.

“He must be from one of the Top Tier Races.” Yun Jun pondered briefly, then murmured with a touch of puzzlement, “And yet why was his aura concealed so perfectly? Even I could not detect which Race he belongs to.”

“Elder Sister Jun, perhaps he used some kind of Secret Technique specifically to conceal his identity.”

    Yun Lan mused beside her.

“En, maybe.” Yun Jun gave a nod, and then the cold frost returned to her features at once. A cool sound escaped her lips, “You two, if you ever dare to slip away again, see how I deal with you!”

“We wouldn’t dare!” At those words, Yun Yin stuck out her tongue and replied in a small voice.

Yun Jun had evidently developed quite the headache when it came to Yun Yin. This mischievous little girl was the most beloved Granddaughter of their Race’s Ancestor, and this time she had absolutely insisted on coming to the Myriad Beasts War Domain to broaden her horizons.

“Stay close to me, both of you. I will send you out before long.”

Yun Jun shook her head and said.

“Ah? Elder Sister Jun, I haven’t had my fill yet…”

Yun Yin’s small face immediately drooped, and she said with a thoroughly aggrieved look.

“*Hmph!* Is this a place for fun? Even I must remain on the highest alert at all times, and moreover, the arrival of that thing is not far off. You must leave before it comes!”

Yun Jun let out a cold snort and spoke in a tone that brooked absolutely no argument.

Hearing this, the two women seemed to recall something rather dreadful, their expressions straightening at once, and they dared not bicker with Yun Jun any further.

    …

Within the Myriad Beasts War Domain, in no more than two short days, Qin Yichen had received something of a preliminary education in this place’s brutality.

In each of those days, whether day or night, Qin Yichen had to maintain a state of absolute vigilance without exception.

Perhaps owing to the extraordinarily robust World Energy here, the Demonic Beasts within uniformly had high cultivation, and Qin Yichen had even encountered existences that stood just a single step away from breaking through to the Saint Realm!

What was more crucial was that within the Myriad Beasts War Domain, many powerful beings with sinister intentions lurked. Not every powerful expert who entered this place had come to improve their own cultivation.

The majority of those who entered were powerful experts who had been stuck at the Martial Ancestor Realm for many years, some having lost all hope of breaking through, who banded together to kill and rob others here, relying on their strength.

In just two short days, Qin Yichen had encountered no fewer than five or six such ambushes. Each time, however, he had managed to extricate himself through sheer capability, and none of it had caused him any meaningful harm.

Within a dim and shadowy forest, Qin Yichen wove his way rapidly through the trees, his pair of eyes scanning continuously across his surroundings.

    *Whoosh!*

Mid-movement, Qin Yichen’s figure came to an abrupt halt. Several silhouettes burst out from the undergrowth at his flanks, their ferocious assault sweeping over the vital points of Qin Yichen’s entire body in an instant.

Faced with this encirclement, Qin Yichen’s expression remained quite calm. Both palms swept into motion, his vigorous Yuan Energy howling outward, forming a screen of Yuan Energy light that enveloped him entirely.

    *Thud! Thud!*

Those fierce attacks, upon meeting this barrier, mostly fell away. The few that did breach it had lost all remaining force and were deflected by Qin Yichen with ease.

    *Whoosh!*

Immediately, Qin Yichen swung his arm, and streams of vigorous Yuan Qi shrieked outward. Several silhouettes hit the ground with a crash, having not even managed to cry out.

    “Too tough to crack, retreat!”

Upon witnessing this, a shout rang out from the undergrowth, and the surrounding thicket erupted with a flurry of rustling sounds at once. It was clear that a number of powerful beings who had been hiding in the shadows, seeing his strength exceed their expectations, left without a moment’s hesitation.

“Having come all this way, think you can leave without giving something in return?” Qin Yichen let out a cold laugh, locked onto the most powerful aura among those retreating silhouettes, and went sprinting in pursuit.

    *Whoosh!*

In this pursuit, the distance between the two closed rapidly in no more than a brief moment.

Qin Yichen also sensed that, as though knowing escape was impossible, the retreating silhouette actually came to a stop.

Within a few breaths, Qin Yichen landed on the branch of a great tree and looked ahead. There, a dark-clad silhouette stood with cold composure, a pair of eyes carrying a faint chill as they fixed themselves upon the arriving Qin Yichen.

    “Done running?”

Qin Yichen gave a contemptuous laugh, toying with a short dagger in his hand. Among all the attacks launched at him in the ambush just now, this object had carried the greatest force, and what was more, it had been aimed straight at his heart.

“This time it is this old man’s failure in recognising greatness. I hope you will not hold it against me, great one.”

Glancing at that short dagger, the dark silhouette’s expression shifted slightly, and he promptly adjusted his mannerism, speaking in a tone of genuine sincerity.
