Chapter 690, The Spicy Strips Taste Rather Good
by SilavinTranslator: Silavin
They were not like Starry Sky Dragons, possessing the power to crush stars. Nor were they like Golden Dragons, boasting Defences capable of rendering them practically Invincible.
Bronze Dragons basically integrated the strengths of both Dragon Species, displaying a more balanced approach for both Offense and Defence.
Whether it was the Starry Sky Dragon or the Golden Dragon, both found Bronze Dragons to be rather troublesome to deal with.
Because the Bronze Dragon not only excelled in attack and defence, but possessed a vicious streak when it came to close-quarters combat.
No Dragon wanted to engage in melee combat with a Bronze Dragon.
While Yamata no Orochi was indeed formidable as a Pet, once pinned beneath the Bronze Dragon’s foot, its death was essentially assured.
The eight heads of Yamata no Orochi spat various Skills, yet failed to injure the Bronze Dragon. Instead, they only managed to irritate him.
The Bronze Dragon roared and struck down with one claw, smashing directly onto one of Yamata no Orochi’s heads.
Instantly, that head shattered upon impact, utterly incapable of withstanding the Bronze Dragon’s assault.
Witnessing a Giant Dragon descending and effortlessly overwhelming Yamata no Orochi, Kage Tenshi and his companions felt their hair stand on end.
They knew with certainty that they could never match an Adult Giant Dragon.
However, their minds were still questioning the reality of it all. [How could there possibly be an Adult Giant Dragon here!?]
However, this question was something that Kage Tenshi and his companions would likely never have the opportunity to ask.
After the Bronze Dragon crushed Yamata no Orochi’s head with a single blow, his Dragon Claw reached out and easily grasped its body.
The immense force caused Yamata no Orochi’s body to writhe and struggle desperately, yet it remained utterly incapable of escaping the Bronze Dragon’s grasp.
The Bronze Dragon held Yamata no Orochi, examining it for a moment before opening his massive maw and biting down on its body.
*Squelch!* Yamata no Orochi, which could previously withstand the bombardment of Fifth Profession Player Skills, now seemed like nothing more than a helpless little rabbit. It was completely unable to endure any of the Bronze Dragon’s attacks.
This single bite directly tore away several thousand pounds of flesh and blood from Yamata no Orochi.
Yamata no Orochi immediately struggled even more violently, yet no matter how desperately it thrashed, it remained nothing more than a plaything in the Bronze Dragon’s grasp, utterly unable to break free.
The Bronze Dragon carefully chewed Yamata no Orochi’s flesh, a sight that made even Lu Fan feel rather queasy.
After all, Yamata no Orochi hardly resembled anything appetising. Its flesh appeared as a dark, viscous mass, reminiscent of sewer sludge. For Humans, its flesh was no different to the destroyer of appetites.
Yet the Bronze Dragon seemed thoroughly pleased with the taste. After chewing a couple of times, he swallowed with a gulp, then called out excitedly towards the flame gate:
“Flame, quickly come out!”
“These spicy strips are delicious! Come and try some!”
[****? Spicy strips!?] Lu Fan’s expression could only be described as *ugh*.
Not only Lu Fan, but Han Ke, Jian Ying, and the others wore similar expressions.
[Their taste is truly… peculiar…]
Following the Bronze Dragon’s call, Dragon Roars echoed once more from behind the flame gate.
Immediately after, a scene that brought Kage Tenshi and his companions close to despair unfolded.
A Dragon composed entirely of flames also emerged from the flame gate, landing beside the Bronze Dragon.
This Flame Dragon did not spare Kage Tenshi and his companions even a glance. To him, Players like Kage Tenshi, at Level 130, were no different from Level 1 Players. After all, both could be killed with a single Dragon Breath.
Indeed, in that regard, there was no meaningful distinction between Level 1 and Level 130.
Compared to Kage Tenshi, the ‘spicy strips’ in the Bronze Dragon’s mouth proved far more interesting to the Flame Dragon.
“You can actually stomach this thing!?” After the Flame Dragon descended, he glanced at the struggling Yamata no Orochi, with obvious disgust in his eyes. “Hey, one look obviously tells you this couldn’t possibly taste good.”
The Bronze Dragon replied earnestly. “You cannot judge whether something tastes good based on their appearance alone. These spicy strips may not have the best texture, but they’re spicy and stimulating to the mouth. There’s also a unique flavour to it. But, if you don’t want any, then that’s fine. I’ll just have it all for myself, okay?”
The Flame Dragon seemed to have been persuaded. After hesitating momentarily, he extended his Dragon Claw and grasped one of Yamata no Orochi’s heads.
Immediately, flames erupted from his Dragon Claw, instantly cooking that head.
Yamata no Orochi writhed in agony, struggling even more desperately.
Unfortunately, in the grasp of two Giant Dragons, it was no different from a toy. It had no chance whatsoever of struggling free!
The Flame Dragon directly tore off its head, tossed it into his mouth for a few chews. Then, his expression transformed from disgust to delight.
“Woah. It really is spicy and chewy! After roasting, it even has a barbecue flavour!” Saying this, the Flame Dragon grasped another head, apparently becoming addicted to the taste.
The poor Yamata no Orochi, having suffered successive grievous wounds, was now barely clinging to life, completely devoid of any resistance.
Compared to the massive bodies and appetites of the two Giant Dragons, a single Yamata no Orochi was clearly not enough.
Therefore, the Bronze Dragon and Flame Dragon soon had a conflict. After all, if they ate too much, what would the Two Headed Dragon and Wind Dragon do?
However, the argument was not extensive. Why? Because nearby, there was also a Three Headed Snake.
This Three Headed Snake did not appear as ‘delicious’ as Yamata no Orochi, but once roasted, its taste should also be acceptable.
“I’ll go grab that spicy strip as well and roast it. But, after I leave, you absolutely must not sneak anymore bites!” The Flame Dragon released the nearly dead Yamata no Orochi, and before departing, worriedly instructed the Bronze Dragon.
The Bronze Dragon patted his chest. “Rest assured, comparatively speaking, I still prefer eating it roasted. Without you here to help me roast this, I would be wasting it by eating it raw.”
“That makes sense.” The Flame Dragon nodded, flying confidently towards Kage Mako’s direction.
Seeing such a massive creature flying towards him, Kage Mako immediately panicked.
He had been standing atop the Three Headed Snake all along. Now, seeing that the Giant Dragon’s target was his newly acquired Pet Three Headed Snake, he could not care less about this powerful Pet. He was fully prepared to leap down from it to flee for his life.
Unfortunately, the Flame Dragon was evidently much faster than him.
Before Kage Mako could manage to leave the Three Headed Snake, the Flame Dragon had already arrived. His massive foot directly trampling the Three Headed Snake to the ground.
Simultaneously, towering flames rose from his body.
These flames, following the Flame Dragon’s approach, instantly engulfed both the Three Headed Snake and Kage Mako. In mere moments, Kage Mako was reduced to ashes amidst a single wail, completely incinerated.
