Seeing this, Lu Fan was in no hurry to press the attack, and laughed. “You were speaking of how I am distracted by others, leaving me unable to focus on my fight with you. And yet are you not doing precisely the same, having to divide your attention while fighting me? You were no match for me to begin with, and now you must draw upon your Ancient God Power to save others on top of that. So how exactly do you intend to fight me?”

Jiang Baihe smiled, making no move to stop releasing his Skill, and instead with a casual push, let the Skill transform into a small Sun, rising up into the air.

In an instant, the Skill was sustained for an extended period, continuously raining down its radiance upon the others.

Ji Ji’s poison was neutralised by it one by one, and for the time being could not cause further trouble for the others. Only then did the Sacred Jiang Family Players below breathe a sigh of relief and throw themselves back into the battle.

Although, even without Ji Ji’s Skills, they were still at a disadvantage, unable to break through the defences of the Golden Asura King and the others, and were being cut down left and right by Ye Wuxian and the Void Insects.

But not a single person among the Sacred Jiang Family retreated. Every one of them fought on as though ignorant of life and death, charging and slashing wildly in a bid to cut everyone down.

At this point, Jiang Baihe slowly opened his mouth and said. “When I saw so many Pet Dragons of yours come out, I knew there was absolutely no way I could be your match. Or rather, when you killed the Jiang Family Mountain God and arrived here, I already knew this battle would be one of ten deaths and no survival for me.”

“But! I still wanted to try. I want  to see whether I could help the Slaughter Ancient God and intercept you here, even if it meant paying with my own life, I would have no regrets.”

Having said this, Jiang Baihe let out a helpless laugh. “Even so, I know in this battle that the gap between my strength and yours is still very great.”

“Even if I fought to the death, I could not stop you. Since that is the case, I shall use my life to exchange for more intelligence about you, so that my Older Brother and the Slaughter Ancient God might better understand you, and know precisely how to cut you all down, removing you obstacles to the Slaughter Ancient God’s ascension to God King.”

“With the strength of one man alone, I fear I cannot accomplish much. So I do not mind scattering my Ancient God Power outward, allowing the others to be affected by it, boosting their Combat Power, so as to narrow the gap between them and yourselves.”

Lu Fan glanced at the Sacred Jiang Family Players below, and sure enough, under the effect of Jiang Baishen’s Skill, everyone’s Combat Power had risen by a significant amount.

However, the gap in strength between them and Ouyang Bai Ge’s group remained as vast as a chasm, requiring no concern from Lu Fan whatsoever.

Furthermore, seeing that her own Skill had been countered by Jiang Baihe’s Skill, Ji Ji felt rather displeased, feeling as though she had lost face before Lu Fan.

And so, she no longer scattered Poisonous Mist from above, but instead dove straight down, charging toward those from the Sacred Jiang Family.

These people did not understand what was happening. Upon seeing a Giant Dragon charging at them, naturally their instinct was to attack it.

The result was that their Skills and attacks landed upon Ji Ji’s body, easily sending force enough to penetrate through her, shattering Ji Ji’s body apart.

But Ji Ji herself was composed of poison. She was essentially an Immortal and Undying existence. These people’s attacks merely shattered Ji Ji’s body, and it quickly reassembled itself, barely constituting as an injury.

The result, however, was that the poison splashing out from within Ji Ji’s shattered body was far more potent than the Poisonous Mist she had been scattering before.

Anyone who was tainted by this poison was immediately afflicted with multiple stacks  of Debuffs, crying out in agonised wails one after another and losing nearly all capability for combat.

Although Jiang Baihe’s Skill was still in effect and could dispel some of the poison Debuffs, such extreme poison was not something that Skill could deal with in any short span of time.

In an instant, a large number of Sacred Jiang Family Players lost all ability to even stand.

At this point they realised Ji Ji’s terrifying nature, and cried out loudly one after another. “Do not attack that Dragon! She is made of poison! Attacking her would just cost us more lives! Everyone, keep away from her! Do not let her get close!”

Simple enough to say, but Ji Ji’s flight speed could not be underestimated. Actually evading her attacks was far easier said than done.

In the blink of an eye, Ji Ji had already thrown the Sacred Jiang Family’s formation into utter disarray.

Every single one of these scenes fell upon Jiang Baihe’s eyes.

He could never have imagined that Lu Fan’s poison Giant Dragon would be so difficult to deal with, that even his trump card Skill, Minor Bodhi Talisman, could not entirely purify it.

And yet, if he were to dispel the Minor Bodhi Talisman, the Sacred Jiang Family Players would be even less capable of dealing with Ji Ji’s poison, and anyone tainted by her would likely lose any capability to fight, or even be killed outright.

With his Minor Bodhi Talisman providing cover, it at least gave the Sacred Jiang Family Players some capacity to protect themselves when facing Ji Ji.

And so, Jiang Baihe was caught in a bind: he could neither dispel the Minor Bodhi Talisman nor keep it active without consequence.

He knew full well that at this point he could only end things quickly. Otherwise, while sustaining the Minor Bodhi Talisman and simultaneously fighting a war of attrition with Lu Fan, the only possible outcome was to be slowly worn down to death.

With this thought, he steeled his resolve, golden light erupting from his body as he once again charged toward Lu Fan.

Lu Fan was entirely unafraid. He ignited the Golden Dragon King Bloodline within himself, raising his defensive power to an exceedingly fearsome level, then surged forward to meet Jiang Baihe’s charge.

Man and Dragon, they clashed together in mid-air.

All around, Lu Fan’s Pet Dragons also struck out in rapid succession, assisting Lu Fan in dealing with Jiang Baihe.

With so many powerful Pet Dragons at his sides, Jiang Baihe was naturally hamstrung at every turn, being struck about in a most wretched fashion.

Bao Bao and Xing Chen’s High Damage Output, Lin Dong’s formidable Crowd Control, and Ye Sha’s omnipresent assassination strikes, every single Pet Dragon’s demonstrated capability that demanded his constant wariness and vigilance.

And so, even though Lu Fan’s transformation into his Golden Dragon King Form left something to be desired in terms of Damage Output, he still firmly suppressed Jiang Baihe, leaving him at a persistent disadvantage from which he simply could not recover from.

The battle continued to grind on.

Lu Fan’s side had already seized absolute initiative.

However, to bring it to a favourable end still required time.

Jiang Baihe and the Jiang Family members were indeed tenacious, and both in strength and combat experience they ranked among the very finest.

If Lu Fan’s group did not choose to fight in a life-or-death manner, it would indeed be very difficult to eliminate them all.

After all, these people represented the entire accumulated foundation of the Sacred Jiang Family.

That one could battle against the accumulated foundation of a Sacred Land spoke for itself in terms of difficulty.

Steady and sure, with no rash moves, could only be for the better.

While on this second Sacred Island, the battle raged on ceaselessly. Meanwhile, on the third Sacred Island, two figures stood at the isle’s edge, gazing down at what lay below.

They were none other than Jiang Baishen and Senior Qing, who had always followed at his side.

Senior Qing stood beside Jiang Baishen, took only a single glance at the battle below, and then let out a long sigh. “It seems that Baihe and his group cannot hold on for much longer.”

Jiang Baishen nodded and said, “Indeed. The other party has genuine ability, not what any ordinary Player could compare with.”
