The Golden Asura King, made of metallic mass, possessed a Physical Resistance and raw power that could no longer be compared to its earlier state, before it consumed that bronze piece.

Against the relentless waves of vine assaults, it stood firm, greatsword in one hand, shield in the other, absorbing each strike and guaranteeing the safety of both Han Ke and Ouyang Bai Ge.

That protection allowed both women to focus entirely on their own roles.

Han Ke moved with steady rhythm, channelling cascades of moonlight radiance to sustain the group, stacking Buffs, reinforcing Combat Power, mending wounds and restoring Stamina.

Ouyang Bai Ge, meanwhile, concentrated on summoning successive waves of Void Insects to press against the Jiang Family Mountain God.

Ye Wuxian and Lu Fan, for their part, carved through the front.

Though the most prominent presence at the front line remained Lu Fan, transformed into his Golden Dragon King Form.

In this Form, Lu Fan’s Defences were without peer. Layered atop that, the combined enhancements of the Little Blade Armour Dragon King, Xiao Cui, and Han Ke’s stacked multipliers rendered him something close to an immovable object. Even Dragon Kings could not match him for raw Defence.

Should anything genuinely threaten him, Golden Form stood at the ready. This Skill would grant him true Invulnerability and Nullifying Damage at will.

With Lu Fan absorbing the bulk of the Jiang Family Mountain God’s offensive pressure, Ye Wuxian was free to strike from the flanks without restraint.

She entered her Elemental Form, turning into a living blaze wheeling through the sky, striking at intervals, igniting the Jiang Family Mountain God’s body across its entire surface.

Ye Wuxian’s Damage Output was not among the group’s highest. But her innate mastery of Fire Element Skills, combined with the nature of her flames, forged from Ancient God Power and capable of incinerating all things, gave her attacks a quality that went beyond raw numbers.

Her Skills were a direct counter to the Jiang Family Mountain God. Even a modest attack, every hit it landed translated to Damage the creature could not casually dismiss.

As she swept through the air in blazing arcs, the fires she scattered caught and spread across the Mountain God’s body. Those flames creeped steadily upward along its towering form. Given enough time, those flames would eventually completely consume it.

Even with regenerative power as prodigious as the Jiang Family Mountain God’s, there was only so long it could endure being turned to char.

The Mountain God’s counter-strategy was blunt but efficient: whenever Ye Wuxian’s flames caught on a section of its body, it shed that section, ripping burning limbs and bark away to deny the fire a foothold.

For a creature of such formidable vitality, sacrificing patches of vine and bark was inconsequential. Its Combat Power was unaffected by it.

But Ye Wuxian never relented. She maintained her Elemental Form from start to finish, basically Invulnerable, unceasing in her assault. She forced the Mountain God to keep amputating parts of itself in a cycle it could not break free from.

Finally, after nearly three hours of sustained, relentless siege, the Jiang Family Mountain God broke.

Understanding that continuing on its current course meant nothing but a slow death by attrition, it made the same choice the Bronze Qilin had made before it.

No more restraint! Everything was to be spent at once! This was its last savage gambit to take everyone with it, and leave no one alive to disturb the Slaughter Ancient God’s long slumber.

    Both Slaughter Hearts simultaneously ignited.

Blinding radiance erupted from within them, and an immense torrent of Ancient God Power roared outward like a volcanic eruption.

The Ancient God Power moved like a column of upward-surging flame, engulfing the Jiang Family Mountain God.

What followed was visible to the naked eye: the creature began to wither.

The towering ancient tree that had stood before them shrank in on itself, reduced tenfold within moments, collapsing to a mass of mere dozens of metres in height.

But that was only the beginning.

The two Slaughter Hearts split apart, and as they separated, the Mountain God’s body divided with them. The great tree cleaved cleanly into two distinct halves.

Two desiccated, skeletal trees now stood where one had been.

    It lasted only a moment.

Ancient God Power surged back into both forms with explosive force. New branches erupted. Fresh growth spread rapidly across the dried trunks. Within moments, both had risen to their original towering height.

The Jiang Family Mountain God had been reborn.

And now, there were two of them.

Both near-identical to the original with one critical difference. The faces carved into their trunks were now fully awakened, animated with vivid, shifting expressions.

The blazing Slaughter Hearts that had once pulsed in their eye sockets were gone. Consumed by that ignition.

In their place, the bark, branches, and leaves of both trees had turned a cold, steely blue-grey, laced through with the gleam of metallic lustre.

At a glance, the texture was completely unlike what it had been before.

Its Combat Power had clearly followed suit with this transformation. With the Slaughter Hearts fully ignited, each half of the Jiang Family Mountain God now individually surpassed the original’s peak.

The moment both forms solidified, twin roars split the air, and the assault began anew.

The entire Map shuddered. Vines tore upward from every inch of the earth, flailing without direction or mercy, hammering every corner of the terrain simultaneously.

Every Monster within the Map, regardless of Level, was erased on the spot.

Secret Realms and Dungeon Instances were swept to rubble in the same wave, their structures destroyed, along with the Spatial Principles that governed the space.

It was as though the reborn Jiang Family Mountain God had been created for the sole purpose of annihilation. The Map that had teemed with life and extraordinary resources moments before was stripped bare in an instant.

Lu Fan and his companions, caught within that storm of destruction, felt the pressure settle over them like a mountain.

Lu Fan alone could weather the vine strikes through his sheer Base Attributes; He could absorb each blow with his frame and hold on.

Ye Wuxian ascended above the fray, maintaining her Elemental Form and rendering herself Immune to the Jiang Family Mountain God’s Skills.

    Everyone else was fully exposed.

The Golden Asura King, formidable as it was, was battered back and forth by the vine barrage. Deep furrows carved across its body that would not easily close, even with all its recovery ability.

Ouyang Bai Ge and Han Ke, in such an environment, faced genuine danger. A single lapse in timing could mean severe injury.

Fortunately, Ouyang Bai Ge summoned a massive Void Insect in time, positioning it over herself and Han Ke like a living shield.

The Void Insect’s body was remarkably resilient. It absorbed the vine attacks and kept both women protected.

However, this was not a permanent solution. Durable as that Void Insect was, this endless barrage would eventually break it.

“Maybe,” Ouyang Bai Ge called out, “everyone should take shelter in the Void World with me temporarily. With both Slaughter Hearts ignited, the Jiang Family Mountain God will not be able to sustain this state for long. We can concede the moment, wait for the right window, then return. There’s no point exhausting ourselves against it now.”

The suggestion drew immediate agreement from the group.

Lu Fan considered briefly, then flicked a finger. An Abyssal Node materialised.

“No. Use my Abyssal Space instead.” He said.
