Chapter 1083, Claiming the Tie Family base as the Ye Family’s

At the rear of the group, Han Ke had not seen much of the world, and naturally had no idea what was so remarkable about the Tie Family base.
From where she stood, the Ye Family Residence was not lacking in any way. Not only was it spacious, but its architecture bore the distinctive character of the Ancient Dragon Country style. It had the sort of grandeur that one glance was enough to confirm it belonged only to a top-tier Noble Family.
In Dragon Capital, the kind of person who could live in such a house would have to be among Dragon Country’s top-tier wealthy elite, possessing both power and influence.
She had seen it on television once before: apparently, among the hundreds of millions of people across all of Dragon Country, fewer than ten could claim to own a courtyard house in Dragon Capital.
And while the Ye Family Residence was not in Dragon Capital, it was extraordinarily large, its architecture exquisite, and its interior fully equipped. There were storehouses, training chambers, Transport Arrays linked to Dungeon Instances and Secret Realms alike, all present without exception. Even those top-tier Dragon Capital houses with courtyards could not compare in terms of sheer opulence.
So in Han Ke’s eyes, the Ye Family Residence was already the pinnacle of luxury housing.
As for the Tie Family base before her, it genuinely left Han Ke astonished by the grandeur.
And through the Moon hanging high in the sky, Han Ke could see that the Tie Family base was enormous.
With Han Ke’s Ancient God Power, the Moon was essentially an extension of herself. Wherever moonlight fell, she could perceive everything with perfect clarity.
She could see every corner of the base.
And yet what Han Ke felt was merely that the Tie Family base was considerably larger than the Ye Family Residence, with somewhat denser construction. To her, it was nothing more than that.
For Han Ke, a place to live only needed a bedroom and a kitchen. All manner of other structures held little significance.
So, if asked to choose, she genuinely saw little difference between the Ye Family Residence and the Tie Family base.
And so, even as she was releasing her Skills, Han Ke turned to Ye Wuxian and said, “Wuxian, what is the appeal of this place? I simply cannot see it. It seems to be only somewhat larger than the Ye Family Residence. Honestly speaking, it is situated inside a Dungeon Instance with limited space. We are unable to see the mountains and rivers of the outside world. It can’t even show you the open sky. In my opinion, it’s still not as good as your Ye Family Residence.”
Ye Wuxian laughed at that, turning to look at Han Ke with a smile. “Sister Han, you have a Lifestyle Specialised Profession, so you don’t understand things from the perspective of us that have Combat Specialised Professions.”
“This Tie Family base is far from as simple as it looks. Setting everything else aside, the Restrictions placed just at the entrance alone are something I have never seen the likes of. Under normal circumstances, even a Sixth Profession Player would struggle to break through them in anything less than several months. If everyone from our Ye Family were to move here, should we ever encounter danger in the future, even if we cannot defeat our enemies, so long as we take shelter within this Dungeon Instance, we can ensure our safety.”
This was something Ye Wuxian understood from personal experience.
While it had appeared effortless on her part, since she had simply channelled her Ancient God Power and burned straight through, the actual defence of this place could not be underestimated. The moment she began burning through it, Ye Wuxian had noticed that the Restrictions were layered one upon another, each Buffing the others in turn, reaching a complexity that was truly extraordinary.
It was clear the Tie Family had invested enormous effort into these Restrictions. Even on the day someone discovered this base, breaking in would remain virtually impossible.
She believed that it had been built partly to guard against Lu Fan, and it was precisely because of such a formidable defensive system that the Tie Family had dared move against her without fearing Lu Fan’s retaliation.
“Furthermore, every building within these walls has an Array protecting it, and there are numerous layers of defensive Arrays designed to repel enemy incursions. This is all prepared with great thoroughness. You should be able to see for yourself in a moment, Sister Han.”
The words had barely left Ye Wuxian’s mouth when, true enough, Arrays began activating one after another throughout the Tie Family base.
Some were Summoning Arrays, calling forth powerful Bosses that took on the role of guardian beasts for the Family, charging towards Ye Wuxian’s group with the intent to tear them apart and protect the base.
Others were purely offensive Arrays that converted pure Elemental Power into Skills, unleashing them in the direction of Ye Wuxian and her companions.
In an instant, the sky was filled with Skills, each one bearing down with ferocious momentum.
Such a savage torrent of Skills made Han Ke open her mouth in astonishment. It was clear even to her that the Tie Family base was no ordinary place.
At the very least, in terms of defensive strength, it far surpassed the Ye Family Residence.
Faced with such a vast barrage of Skills, Jian Ying and the others warned Ye Wuxian and Han Ke to be careful, then stretched both arms forward. The two swords they carried transformed into an enormous golden shield, planted firmly before them.
Every Skill produced by the activated Arrays slammed into that shield in turn, sending thunderous reverberations through it. However, the Asura King did not take a single step back, absorbing each and every attack without allowing a single point of Damage to reach Ye Wuxian or Han Ke.
Though the shield was battered and dented, it restored itself rapidly after each strike.
It appeared to be enduring a relentless and ferocious assault, yet shattering it was plainly out of the question.
Even more disheartening was when Han Ke raised her hand in a casual wave, and a beam of moonlight descended, settling over the Asura King.
In an instant, the Asura King’s defensive capability and its Recovery Speed were each elevated by another tier.
With that, the Asura King became even more indestructible, still handling the barrage from the Arrays with complete ease.
Ye Wuxian was not idle either. With a casual point of her finger, flames cascaded down across the sky in a sweeping tide. Though these flames were not aimed at the Tie Family’s buildings, but at the people within them.
It was evident that Ye Wuxian intended to claim the Tie Family base for herself, turning it into the Ye Family’s new residence.
Naturally, she would take care of what was to become her own property. Otherwise, the Ye Family would have to foot the bill for repairs.
Jian Ying and the others understood this perfectly well.
And so, the Asura King remained entirely on Defence, refraining from the dual-wielded sword rampage it had shown earlier.
Had it continued as before, the Tie Family base would likely have been ploughed through like farmland in very short order.
Even as Ye Wuxian and her group held back, for the Tie Family, they remained exceedingly troublesome enemies.
More and more Tie Family members converged to this location, launching attacks against Ye Wuxian’s group. However, every attack was absorbed by the Asura King, unable to achieve any effect whatsoever.
Ye Wuxian sat upon the Asura King’s shoulder, releasing a few casual Skills here and there, inflicting heavy casualties upon the Tie Family members with every exchange.
And behind the four of them stood Han Ke, a superb Supporter.
The moment Han Ke’s Skills activated, the Attack and Defence of both the Asura King and Ye Wuxian were immediately elevated by several tiers, her contribution matching that of Xiao Cui.
