Very soon, every person who had been within the Tie Family base had vanished, all having departed via the Transport Array.

Of the once-vast Tie Family base, only Ye Wuxian and the four others remained.

They did not allow themselves to relax their vigilance. Jian Ying and the others maintained within the Asura King and began to patrol the entire base, searching for any potential threat that might still be there.

After all, this had been a Supreme Tier Ancient Noble Family, with a deep foundation.

Even if their combat capability had been crushed by them as Ancient Gods, leaving them with no power to fight back, who could say if some random Array would trigger, and some Snake Dragon like the one from before, still existed somewhere?

If the Tie Family had concealed some sort of Array in some corner of the base, and Ye Wuxian’s group stumbled into it and triggered it by accident, would that not mean their deaths?

Even if they were Ancient Gods, theoretically Immortal Beings, the moment they sustained a wound grave enough to threaten their lives, they would still enter a state of slumber, only to wake at the dawn of the next era.

And setting aside the question of whether, if Lu Fan truly won the Ancient Gods Struggle For Supremacy and chose not to allow this era to be destroyed rather than beginning the next one, or those lost Ancient Gods could ever be revived, the simple fact that an Ancient God’s awakening required hundreds of thousands of years meant that any Ancient God that was forced to slumber was practically no different from being dead.

After all, once one closes one’s eyes, and when next they open, a million years have passed.

By then, apart from Lu Fan and those others who had already become Ancient Gods, how many people could possibly still be alive?

With not a single friend remaining in this world, no Family at all. How was this not any different from death?

And so, being an Ancient God was not a licence for them to be reckless. No matter what they did, caution was the wiser choice.

After a thorough sweep of the base, they discovered that the Tie Family did indeed have several protective Arrays that had never been activated.

Moreover, every single one of those Arrays was treacherous to the extreme. They appeared to be intended for use in the event that the Tie Family was ever invaded. It was a last-resort mechanism to catch intruders completely off-guard and inflict catastrophic losses upon them.

All of these Arrays had, however, been shut down. Whether Tie Fusheng had deactivated them before his appearance, or whether the departing Family members had closed them upon leaving, out of a desire not to provoke Ye Wuxian’s wrath and cause her to abandon her decision to let them go, was impossible to know.

Whatever the case, there were no fewer than seven such Arrays in total, each one capable of gravely wounding an expert at the calibre of Tie Fusheng, who was at the Sixth Profession Change.

The materials used to construct the Arrays were of exceptional value, presenting Ye Wuxian with an entirely unexpected windfall.

In time, all the materials within these Arrays could be extracted and deployed around the perimeter of the base to resist Monster incursions and external invaders.

Beyond these Arrays, roughly seventy per cent of the resources within the base had been left intact, with every variety of facility well-equipped and highly functional.

Once Ye Family members were brought in to carry out repairs, in not more than a month’s time, everything would be fully operational.

How vast were the resources of the entire Tie Family?

Almost several dozen times, perhaps even a hundred times, the total holdings of the Ye Family.

Now that she could take the whole of the Tie Family into her possession and use it to strengthen the Ye Family, Ye Wuxian’s heart surged with excitement.

Perhaps the Tie Family’s treacherous attack upon her had not necessarily been a misfortune after all.

She herself was completely unscathed. Beyond that, she had directly seized the resources of a Supreme Tier Ancient Noble Family on behalf of a Family that had previously been nothing more than a Second Tier Ancient Noble Family.

The Ye Family now, setting aside herself and Lu Fan as two Ancient Gods, had already grown to a comprehensive strength capable of challenging a Second Tier Ancient Noble Family.

And in another twenty years, once the Ye Family had made full use of all these resources and cultivated a number of experts from their ranks, the Ye Family would be a true Supreme Tier Ancient Noble Family.

From a Third Tier Ancient Noble Family teetering on the edge of ruin, to a Supreme Tier Ancient Noble Family in a mere twenty years. There was hardly a single Family in the entire Western Border who would believe such a thing was possible.

Yet it had truly and genuinely happened. And Ye Wuxian knew full well that the reason she had been able to accomplish this extraordinary feat and carry the Ye Family to such heights was entirely due to Lu Fan’s help.

Without Lu Fan, the current Ye Family would most likely have long since ceased to exist.

Once every danger had been eliminated, Ye Wuxian expressed her gratitude to Jian Ying and the others, then established a Transport Array between the base and the Ye Family Residence to bring the Ye Family members over to sort through the gains from this battle.

When the Ye Family members learnt that their Patriarch, Ye Wuxian, had gone out and returned having absorbed the entire Tie Family into their fold, every last one of them was left speechless with astonishment. They were nearly convinced they were dreaming.

After all, before leaving the Ye Family Residence, Ye Wuxian had been nothing more than a Player who had not yet even reached Level 100. For a Player of that calibre to stand before a Supreme Tier Ancient Noble Family was, if anything, to be described as an ant before a titan.

And yet, when Ye Wuxian returned, she informed everyone that the whole Family was to relocate into the former Tie Family base, henceforth enjoying everything within it.

This news gave every single person present the extraordinary sensation of having been eating gruel and swallowing husks in one moment, only to have their Parents come rushing over the next and announce that the world’s wealthiest person wished to give them everything he owned and that they were moving into a billionaire’s mansion.

The feeling was far too surreal to be believed.

It was not until every last person had passed through the Transport Array and arrived at the Tie Family base themselves that they were willing to believe Ye Wuxian had not deceived them.

Though the entire base was clearly in a state of disarray after the fierce battle, the sheer scale of the Dungeon Instance, the abundance of its structures, and the wealth of its resources convinced everyone without a doubt: this had indeed once belonged to a Supreme Tier Ancient Noble Family.

The members of the Ye Family all went weak in the knees. Their reactions were not unlike that of a certain historical scholar, who fainted upon learning he had passed the imperial examinations after countless failures.

Ye Wuxian kept a smile on her face throughout and said nothing more. She allowed the Ye Family members to indulge in this jubilant celebration for a while, then issued her orders. She dispatched the gathered Family members to various parts of the base to begin organising and carrying out repairs.

The damage sustained in the battle was to be repaired as swiftly as possible.

At the same time, every resource and item within the base was to be catalogued and a full inventory was to be drawn up for her to review.

Receiving such orders, the Ye Family members set aside their euphoria and dispersed to every corner of the base, each beginning their assigned work.

Every single person threw themselves into the task with tremendous enthusiasm, eager to convert every last thing the Tie Family had once owned into the Ye Family’s property. After all, once this was all done, the Ye Family would have the stable footing to become a Supreme Tier Ancient Noble Family in more than just name. Their work here was securing them a place of standing among the major Forces of the Western Border.

As expected, none of these logistical matters required Ye Wuxian and the others to involve themselves with.

To express her gratitude to Jian Ying and the others, Ye Wuxian took the group along with her to the recreational facilities within the Tie Family base, where they spent a good while exploring and enjoying themselves.

Ye Wuxian had originally intended to send for Lu Fan to join them. She wanted to let him see for himself how much good fortune he had brought the Ye Family.

In the end, however, Lu Fan was still at the Situ Family Residence, being entertained with great warmth and hospitality. He could not get away for the time being so such a plan had to be set aside.
