Originally, the Two Headed Dragon had fully intended to handle all the Dragon Carcasses on his own. For one, he wished to personally see off his Brothers and Sisters from the Valley of Life on their final journey. For another, he simply did not wish to trouble Lu Fan and the others.

Yet now, looking at the situation, that particular idea of theirs would only create more trouble for everyone present.

After all, although it did not take them too long to deal with a single Dragon Carcass, dispatching the opponents in short order with a few moves, compared to the Bronze Dragon King who could level one with a single punch, or the Shadow Dragon King who could casually wave a claw and split two Dragon Carcasses into four pieces each, their strength was clearly, lacking.

At least, if the Dragon Carcasses were left entirely to them, it would cost some time, and that was far less clean and efficient than having the Bronze Dragon King and the Shadow Dragon King make their move.

And so, at this moment, none of them quite knew whether they ought to keep fighting these Dragon Carcasses themselves.

On this matter, the Bronze Dragon King was perfectly unbothered, giving a casual shrug. “You don’t need to look at us. We can do either. If you want to reach the Desolate Ancient God quickly, the two of us will step in and handle these nuisances. If you still wish to personally see them off, I don’t mind leaving them to you. If so, only when their numbers grow too much will the two of us intervene. It is just to prevent them from launching an attack on us.”

The Two Headed Dragon thought it over, and in the end said, “Forget it. Though we really do wish to personally send them back to the earth with our own hands, now is not the time for that. The most pressing matter is to find the Desolate Ancient God first. As the Void Ancient God said earlier, the Desolate Ancient God can absorb the energy of everything around it at any moment, converting it into nourishment to raise its own degree of awakening. Every moment of delay means the Desolate Ancient God gets stronger. We need to kill it first and worry about the rest afterwards. So long as the Desolate Ancient God dies, our Brothers and Sisters will naturally be released.”

Ouyang Bai Ge nodded at this, adding, “Indeed. And even if these Dragon Carcasses are slain, they will do nothing more than dissolve back into the mud around them, becoming part of the Desolate Ancient God once more. With but a single thought from the Desolate Ancient God, they would appear again. So, slaying these Dragon Carcasses is not true release. Only by killing the Desolate Ancient God can everything return to peace.”

“In that case.” The Bronze Dragon King heard this and smiled, flexing her knuckles once more. ” I won’t hold back. From here on out, allow me to lead the way.”

With that, she strode forward without pause.

Ahead, Dragon Carcasses had already coalesced from the mud, shrieking ceaselessly at the Bronze Dragon King as she approached.

Regrettably for them, they had not even managed to make a move before the Bronze Dragon King had already launched her fist.

    *Boom!*

With a sonic boom, the Bronze Dragon King’s fist blazed with radiance, the air itself punctured and shattered into fine glass-like fractures that spread across the Dragon Carcass before her in an instant.

Without the slightest surprise, the first Dragon Carcass bore the full brunt of the shockwave and its body simply exploded, entirely incapable of withstanding even a single exchange with the Bronze Dragon King.

Lu Fan could see that this ability blew up a Dragon Carcass through sheer force, even at a distance. It was not a Skill. This was something achieved purely through the physical might of her body.

In the instant the Bronze Dragon King struck, the air along her fist was compressed at tremendous speed, generating temperatures in excess of a ten thousand degrees, which to an outside observer manifested as a burst of blinding light.

One could imagine that if a mere sonic boom could shatter a Dragon Carcass, a direct hit would render a Dragon Carcass even more hopelessly incapable of resisting.

The Bronze Dragon King’s ability for close quarters combat had reached a level that left even Lu Fan clicking his tongue in admiration. At the same time, a realisation settled in his heart, that even if he were to transform into his Golden Dragon King Form and possess his matchless Defence, he should absolutely never engage the Bronze Dragon King Clan in close-quarters combat.

Truly, one could not begin to imagine how terrifying the Bronze Dragon King Clan truly was.

Speaking of which, he did not know how he had come to obtain a Bronze Dragon King Egg.

But if he could Tame a Bronze Dragon King, his ability in close quarters combat would certainly reach new heights.

While Lu Fan was thinking this, sounds of movement came from all around them in quick succession.

Ouyang Bai Ge swept her gaze around and found that a huge chuck of mud was churning and surging, about to form Dragon Carcasses.

Dragon Carcasses of this number were not normal.

If the Dragon Carcasses lay dormant here, and had simply been awakened by the group’s arrival, their numbers would not be so staggering. Two or three would have been the absolute maximum. Yet now, the Dragon Carcasses about to materialise around them numbered no fewer than a dozen or more.

Ouyang Bai Ge coldly said, “Everyone be careful. It seems like the Desolate Ancient God has already sensed us. The path ahead will only get harder. We may have to constantly face these Dragon Carcasses.”

Lu Fan swept his spear out and simultaneously traced a Summoning Array in the air. “It doesn’t matter. We just need to break through. Even if the energy contained within our Skills gets absorbed by the Desolate Ancient God and gets used to raise its own degree of awakening, constantly summoning these Dragon Carcasses will drain away its Ancient God Power. I want to see whether it can truly stop us from finding it!”

The moment his words fell, a roar emerged from within the fully formed Summoning Array.

Xiao Ye burst out from the Summoning Array. Lu Fan tapped his foot against the ground, leapt up, and rode upon Xiao Ye’s back, entering his Riding State.

During the conversation with the Bronze Dragon King earlier, Lu Fan had also disclosed that he was a Dragon Tamer. The result was exactly as he had anticipated. Although he was a Dragon Tamer, he received no contempt or displeasure from the Bronze Dragon King.

In the Bronze Dragon King’s eye, the so-called Dragon Tamer was not superior to Dragons, but an ally to Dragons.

After all, a Dragon Tamer’s Skills truly drew out the strength of both themselves and their Dragon, achieving an effect where one plus one surpasses two. Rather than controlling and flogging one’s Summon as a Beast Tamer would, treating the Summon as a subordinate, the relationship between a Dragon Tamer and a Dragon was more akin to mutually beneficial allies.

And so, the Bronze Dragon King held no particular displeasure towards Lu Fan, and consequently, when Lu Fan fought, there was no need to hold back, he could simply summon all his Pet Dragons without ceremony.

However, once Xiao Ye appeared, her Dragon King Aura still drew the sidelong glances of both the Bronze Dragon King and the Shadow Dragon King.
