Chapter 662, Where Did All These Dragons Come From?
by SilavinTranslator: Silavin
“Wh-what is this thing!? Your new Pet Dragon!?” Han Ke instinctively pressed herself against Lu Fan, seeking his embrace.
She had seen quite a few Pet Dragons before, but most of those she had encountered were Baby Dragons like Xiao Ye and Xiao Cui. They were cute creatures that appeared harmless and were adorable instead of threatening.
However, this creature before them was entirely different. Its head alone was the size of a house, and swallowing a person whole would be no challenge whatsoever!
Naturally, Han Ke felt fear when confronted with such a terrifying Adult Giant Dragon.
Lu Fan quickly embraced Han Ke and said. “Don’t be afraid, Auntie. This isn’t an enemy. It’s a friend I’ve recently met. They encountered some trouble, and I just rescued them from another place. I am bringing them over to Shadow Isle for shelter. Besides this one, there are several more Dragons. So, you’d better prepare yourself mentally.”
Han Ke’s face paled slightly, but she nodded.
Though she still felt intimidated by such a colossal creature, since Lu Fan was present and had assured her that they were friendly, she felt somewhat reassured.
After the Bronze Dragon emerged, he paid no attention to Han Ke beneath his feet. Instead, he exclaimed with extreme surprise. “This Territory is excellent! There’s the aura of a Giant Dragon here. It should be from the Shadow Dragon Race. Though we’re not of the same species, the familiar scent makes me feel comfortable.”
“Moreover, this place seems to have some kind of Special Resources that imbue the air with a unique power. Breathing the air here feels wonderful. I never imagined that beyond the Dragon Domain, there could be such a marvellous place!”
With that, he turned his head back and enthusiastically called toward the other side of the Transport Array, “Quickly come over! The other side of this Transport Array is a splendid place!”
Subsequently, he completely emerged from the Transport Array and stretched his wings.
Following this, other Giant Dragons began emerging one after another. Each Dragon, upon arrival, marvelled at what a wonderful place Shadow Isle truly was.
Though it could not be compared to the Dragon Domain, it was far better than they had imagined.
Watching one Adult Giant Dragon after another emerge in succession, Han Ke was so astonished her mouth hung agape. She understood just how extraordinarily rare Giant Dragons were in this world.
Apart from Lu Fan, no one else possessed Pure Blood Giant Dragons. Even those who had merely seen Giant Dragons were extremely scarce.
Yet now, Lu Fan had opened a Transport Array from which so many Adult Giant Dragons emerged. This was simply shocking beyond belief!
“Fan’er, where on earth did you acquire so many Giant Dragons from?” Han Ke quietly tugged at Lu Fan and asked in a low voice.
Lu Fan smiled and replied, “From the Dragon Domain.”
“These Giant Dragons encountered some misfortune. Their homeland got occupied by something peculiar, and they were trapped in a Secret Realm. I used my Skill to rescue them from the Secret Realm.”
“All these Giant Dragons were rescued by you?” Han Ke felt utterly incredulous. “Fan’er, you’re becoming increasingly formidable. You are now even capable of rescuing Giant Dragons…”
Lu Fan laughed helplessly and said. “I merely happened to possess a Skill that enables me to escape. It was purely coincidental that we could do this. If it came to actual combat, ten of me probably wouldn’t match any one of them.”
Upon hearing this, Han Ke became even more astonished.
In her eyes, Lu Fan’s Combat Power had already reached astronomical levels. She had never seen an enemy Lu Fan could not handle.
Yet now, Lu Fan claimed he was no match for any of these Giant Dragons.
How terrifyingly powerful must these Giant Dragons be then!?
It was truly beyond imagination…
What surprised Han Ke even more was that after the four Giant Dragons arrived at Shadow Isle, a constantly writhing giant tree squeezed its way through the Transport Array!
After this enormous tree struggled out of the Transport Array, it directly took root in front of the Array. When it had completely passed through, Han Ke discovered this was not actually a giant tree, but rather a special existence that resembled both tree and Dragon.
After this peculiar ‘Tree Dragon’ creature also arrived at Shadow Isle, the Transport Array finally completely closed.
It appeared that Lu Fan’s friends consisted of these five Giant Dragons of varying species.
Han Ke was now overwhelmed with shock beyond measure. Seeing that she needed time to process the current situation, Lu Fan decided to explain everything to her later.
The immediate priority was addressing how to accommodate these Giant Dragons.
Therefore, Lu Fan asked Han Ke to attend to her own matters first, while he remained here to have a word or two with these Giant Dragons.
Knowing she could not assist Lu Fan here, Han Ke obediently returned to the Shadow Fortress to continue replenishing the Territory’s supplies.
Now, only Lu Fan and the five Giant Dragons remained.
The Life Dragon King also praised Shadow Isle’s environment, expressing surprise that despite Lu Fan’s modest Level, he was actually the Territory Master of such a large island.
Moreover, the island bore a Shadow Dragon King’s aura, along with some kind of special Spiritual Spring.
Such Spiritual Springs were extremely precious Map Resources that even the Dragon Domain could scarcely produce.
Lu Fan exchanged pleasantries with a smile, then inquired the Life Dragon King about their next steps now that they had escaped from the Valley of Life.
If they wished to return to the Dragon Domain, Lu Fan could use the Dragon Domain Skill and Starry Space Passage in combination to transport them back.
The Life Dragon King fell into contemplation regarding this matter.
The Two Headed Dragon was quite candid, saying that returning to the Dragon Domain was not impossible, though the situation was rather complicated.
This was because within the Dragon Domain, each Giant Dragon’s territorial divisions were very clearly defined. Under normal circumstances, outsiders were not permitted to compete for them.
Speaking of competition, the Life Dragon King now had four Rootless Dragons beside her, so claiming a decent territory would not be too difficult.
However, the key issue was that Life Dragon King did not favour conflict, let alone seizing others’ territories.
Even if they succeeded in claiming territory, maintaining the Life Dragon King’s existence and nurturing new Rootless Dragons would require substantial resources.
Ordinary Dragon Domain territories would likely struggle to provide adequate support.
As for seizing superior Dragon Domain territories, they would most likely encounter powerful Combat Specialised Giant Dragons. Against such Dragons, the four Rootless Dragons might not prove to be their match.
Therefore, although they had escaped from the Valley of Life, returning to the Dragon Domain was not a simple matter.
They would likely need nearly a century to find a suitable place in the Dragon Domain, then utilise tens of thousands of years to reconstruct a paradise like the Valley of Life.
Naturally, all this assumed everything proceeded extremely smoothly without interference from other Giant Dragons.
