At this point, Ouyang Bai Ge also gave a nod and said. “Indeed. In terms of raw power, the Slaughter Ancient God possesses many advantages that other Ancient Gods simply cannot match. His Ancient God Power is born for the purpose of slaughter. Concealing one’s presence to deliver a single fatal blow to an enemy is merely a manifestation of that killing capability.”

“In truth, I have achieved something in this regard as well. After all, within my Void World, many Void Insects have been continuously evolving in the direction of predatory hunting. I have cultivated quite a number of Void Insects capable of Concealing their presence and seeking a one-hit kill.”

Lu Fan found himself deeply intrigued.

He and Ouyang Bai Ge had spoken at length before, and so he already had some understanding of the other party’s Ancient God Power.

Ouyang Bai Ge bore the name of the Void Ancient God; her Ancient God Power was the ability to open a Void World.

This Void World was precisely the one Lu Fan had passed through earlier when traversing to the Sacred Jiang Family.

This world had been constructed by Ouyang Bai Ge single-handedly, and the nature of the living beings within it had been defined by her own creation.

In this respect, it bore a certain resemblance to the God King’s act of creating a world.

However, unlike the God King’s creation, which could establish rules at will, Ouyang Bai Ge’s creation of a Void World was subject to numerous limitations.

The greatest limitation was this: the world needed to exist in dependency upon the World Principles of the original world.

For instance, the current era’s World Principle was one of Game Mechanics meshing with reality, with Levels serving to categorise both ability and strength.

Thus, within Ouyang Bai Ge’s Void World, the Void Creatures existing within it also used Levels to define their strength. It was not some other set of rules.

Beyond this, there were various other finer details Lu Fan did not fully understand.

In short, compared with the creation of a world, the Void World was more akin to something existing between the real world and a Dungeon Instance. It was larger than any single Dungeon Instance, yet lacked the unbounded, rule-free nature of true creation.

The Void World Ouyang Bai Ge had constructed on this occasion was, in some measure, modelled after the Slaughter Ancient God’s Era of Mountains and Seas.

As Ouyang Bai Ge herself explained, she employed the existences within the Void World to fight, and so she required these Void Insects to possess sufficient power.

And how could they attain sufficient strength? She chose to let the Void Insects evolve on their own.

Within the Void World, every life possessed enormous uncertainty and capacity for evolution. Furthermore, these lives had collectively been granted two abilities.

One ability was independent consciousness, allowing them to determine how to make themselves stronger.

The other ability was to devour. Any enemy they defeated and devoured could have its Skills selectively absorbed, strengthening themselves in the process.

Combined with the combative, predatory traits Ouyang Bai Ge had instilled within them, this meant the Void Insects of the Void World were engaged in an unceasing cycle of battle and evolution.

Through this process of repeated trial and error, every so often, the Void Insects would produce a powerful existence capable of dominating a portion of the Void World.

At that point, Ouyang Bai Ge would cultivate such a creature, propagate it on a large scale, and place it within a separate Void World for rearing, to be used as her own forces in future battles.

Amongst those Void Insects selected in this manner, there were naturally existences extraordinarily adept at Concealment-based Attacks.

After all, Assassin-type Monsters were also a direction of evolution, and Ouyang Bai Ge had cultivated such creatures long ago.

Ouyang Bai Ge even let slip that these Assassin-type Monsters were, in fact, the primary combat force within her Void Insect army. In the future Ancient Gods Struggle For Supremacy, they ought to be able to create no small number of miracles for their side.

And so, when Lu Fan heard Ouyang Bai Ge mention these Void Insects, he could not resist asking a further question, ‘if your Void Insects are compared against the Slaughter Ancient God, how great would the gap in power be between them?’

Setting everything else aside, purely in terms of Concealment and Damage Output, how large could that gap be?

Although Ouyang Bai Ge had not yet fully awakened, her Void World had already been open for a very long time.

It was unknown just how many years had been spent cultivating Void Insects.

In theory, should Ouyang Bai Ge’s Void Insect army not at least be qualified to be spoken of in the same breath as the Slaughter Ancient God?

If one could gauge the upper limits of the Slaughter Ancient God’s power through Ouyang Bai Ge’s Void Insects, it would be extremely helpful for future battles against him.

Yet when asked about the power gap between her Void Insects and the Slaughter Ancient God, Ouyang Bai Ge laughed of her own accord, shaking her head and saying, “The two are utterly incomparable. The Slaughter Ancient God’s Concealment capability, his Damage Output, there is just no possibility of my Void Insects matching it.”

“He is an Ancient God. Moreover, an Ancient God specialised in the art of slaughter. In this domain, it is impossible for anyone to be spoken of in the same breath as him. Let alone my Void Insects. My Void Insects are, in theory, capable of infinite evolution, where there is no ceiling to their Skills. But the Slaughter Ancient God is like a mountain standing above the Nine Heavens. The killing capability of the Void Insects cannot even touch the sky; much less be compared with the pinnacle existence atop the Nine Heavens.”

With these words spoken, every person present fell into complete silence.

Lu Fan in particular narrowed his eyes slightly.

He had witnessed, within the Void World, those Void Insects whose power Ouyang Bai Ge had selected and who had devoured and evolved in a frenzy.

Any single one of them, placed in the outside world, would already be a Boss-level existence.

And yet they still required an unknowable length of time, continuously slaughtering one another, raising their own strength, before Ouyang Bai Ge would select them as capable combatants.

The finest among them had power that likely rivalled Divine Beings or perhaps surpassed them by quite a margin.

And yet compared with the Slaughter Ancient God, they did not even qualify for comparison.

The Slaughter Ancient God’s strength, his capability to kill in particular, could well be imagined.

This battle would undoubtedly be a fierce and gruelling one.

After a long silence, Lu Fan smiled and addressed the group. “Whatever the case, this Ancient God must be slain. His strength is great. Yet, that may not necessarily be a bad thing. If we can seize his Divine Seat, the boost to our side’s overall power would be immense.”

“Whether we can win, we won’t know until we fight. For now, let us first go and find out where this so-called Sacred Jiang Family actually is.”

Ouyang Bai Ge smiled and nodded. “Indeed, you are right. Whether we can beat him or not, we’ll only know after fighting. Since the opponent is the Slaughter Ancient God, then this time, I shall join you all in facing him.”

“With as many Ancient Gods as we have on our side taking on a single one of him, our odds are not too bad. Even if his degree of awakening is high, and we are not his match, I am confident I can ensure all of us retreat safely.”
